This is a masterpiece. in my opinion. I haven't been so touched by something in a long time. I have to be in a certain mood to watch...but I have the same feels everytime. It's one of them kinda films. R.R & MF transcends the film industry...the actors? Each one, phenomenal! I will keep this one until the end of my days. It give me the hope I need to have for humanity.
2:29 that line pisses me off so much. As a mother she should understand how painful and life ruining it would be to lose your baby like that. How can you have such a breathtaking lack of self awareness to say something like that to another parent who lost their baby?? While his treatment of her throughout the movie is not ok, her lack of empathy just expecting him to “get over it” like it’s so simple, when she has a child herself and would be equally destroyed if anything happened to her, has always pissed me off about this movie.
She hasn't had any support from anyone since her husband died. Not even from her father-in-law, who blamed her for it. Grief is processed in different ways.

She expresses multiple times throughout the movie her frustration that he can't just "get over it" even though she has a child of her own and if something happened to her daughter she wouldn't just "get over it". Never said his treatment towards her is ok but she shows no enpathy towards him for losing his son and never even apologizes. It WAS her fault that his son died. She should not have been driving when she was that tired. Doesn't mean she should be punished for the rest of her life but she should still apologize and take accountability for her mistake. That's probably where a lot of his anger xones from. Her immediately running away from everything after tge accident bc of her own embarrassment and not looking him in tge eyes and explaining everything thst happebed that night and apologizing.
Redford will be a winner as long as he breaths his ability is almost always top of the line--freeman played a grand part too--can watch over and over---not a chick flick but exquisite drama

People have the AUDACITY to say Jlo can't act. She's proven herself well over. This movie is sooo underrated.
I imagine people will never forget Gigli. Or Anaconda, for that matter.
I can’t believe it either Jlo is great at acting especially in the movie called Enough and Selena.
JLO has put in some gods performances, but she’s also put delivered some terrible ones. I can see people thinking either way with her.

Not a J-Lo fan but she was pretty good in this.
