    You should combine every planet in the solarsystem, and then use the MEGA BIG SUPERMOON as a Moon for the new MEGA BIG SUPERPLANET. Please!

      He should, but it's obvious what would happen. It would become a gas giant with 470 Earth masses, or about 1.5x Jupiter, and the radius of Jupiter.

      The asteroid belt's sum is far less than the moon. The Oort cloud is estimated to be about 10 Earth masses, but estimates vary wildy. The Kuiper belt and other TNOs I can't find a sum for. Overall, imagine Uranus and Neptune, but mostly ice and rock.

      Are you accounting for the loss in energy involved in the collision? Heat loss, friction, ignition of gases, etc. That has to account for a sizeable loss in physical mass.

    • @Sam-oz8pn
      @Sam-oz8pn 7 лет назад

      John Canfield Not really. A lot of energy creates a little mass. A lot of that heat and all gomes from the kinetic energy, not mass to energy.
      Although now that I think it over it's probably a lot compared to what we're used to, given the massiveness of the collision. Just insignificant to the moons themselves (the mass loss, not the heat and all.) More mass would probably be lost to escaping fragments.

    Anton I would like to make a case for Shakespeare. Ignoring the art of it for once, the importance of Shakespeare linguistically is very significant. English as a language was finishing a major transition when Shakespeare was writing. In the course of his writings he drastically increased the amount of words in the language by writing down things he heard that had never been written before and by inventing words he needed. A famous example of which is 'asasination'. The publishing of his works not long after he died essentially doubled the written English language compared to the King James Bible publish not long before. I believe that is why it is still taught. He was the Newton of the English language. Sort of.

    try combining all the planets together, even Pluto. Because its title is "Dwarf planet" it still has the word 'planet' in its name. I would like to see how this would turn out because I do believe that Pluto has a lot of iron, so maybe it will be a cool experiment for you to try

    Here is a trick you probably know go into motion and there should be an option to lock position so if you hit it with an object it won't move

    do you know why the cobined moon has water ? because the asmosphere and amounts of water , Titan has a thick atmosphere , Enceladus and Europa has a lot of water so the the thick
    asmosphere warm up the moon and thats perpect temperature to the water to not freeze and stay at liquid form

    What happens if you combine all the objects in the Asteroid Belt into one? Do you get a dwarf planet or a larger planet? Thanks!

    Doesnt the energy release of the collisions make it lose quite a bit of its mass?
