ive had this video in a playlist with a single other video since middle school. i remember walking between classes playing it in my headphones, its cheery upbeat randomness being the main thing keeping me going throughout the day. its one of my fondest memories of school in general. recently i looked through the playlists i had, and stumbled across said playlist once more. im 18 now, ive been out of school for a year, and yet this song has once again become a go-to for a small burst of motivation and energy that is sorely needed after this whole pandemic and the rest of the chaos thats ensued. this is basically the only song with no lyrics that can cheer me up from the bad moods i didnt even know i had. even after all these years, im still here lurking and listening to this masterpiece. what compelled me to write this? i dont know. maybe the fact that its 6 am and i havent slept? point is, im glad this video is still up, its been very helpful surprisingly :}
Its a pi-ano Man im hungry, what should i watch Pi isnt a number its music Hey man a new song came out. *oh yeah whats it called?* its called 3.1415926535... _infinity later_ *hey i forgot the name can you say jt again?*
there is a website where you can type your birthday and i can be found in PI actually :) VSauce mentioned that site if i remember correctly but not sure in which movie
That some combination can be found infinite amount of times in decimal places of pi. It has to be proven to be a mathematical fact. It can't be fact just because somebody thinks so.
Top 2 answears say that it "seems quite likely" and "π is not known to have this property, but it is expected to be true" and this Wikipedia article is about random numbers so it just prooves that you can't tell if your theory is true.
Well, that's not what infinity is. If we had a number that for example look like: 0,012345678900112233445566778899000111222... etc. it would "have" infinite amount of numbers but it wouldn't contain all the combinations. You can easily make other more complex examples. Sorry, but you don't seem to be very good in abstract thinking. And punctuation.
The background piano music is what keeps it grounded. The part based on pi has so many off-beat rythms that it would be near-impossible to keep track of the rythm by itself.
And I thought Math meant Mental Abuse To Human But I'm wrong it means Music Arrangement To Help Escape Depression I added an ED at last cause I just got MATHED.
In the Original Plants Vs. zombies games, it mentions that the Sunflower bobs to the invisible beat of the universe. I checked and it matches the beat of the song. thumbs.gfycat.com/ImpracticalPhonyBoilweevil-size_restricted.gif
Wow!!! I’m just like staring at the screen for the whole video!!! My eyeballs were bulging out of their sockets looking at all the numbers!! FANTASTIC video by far! BRAVO!!!!!!!!
This is actually Pretty Cool! of Course there are twists and turns in the sound sometimes that didn't sound right, but it's quite funny how the song really repeats its pattern of beats several times in the whole song. Nice Video! :D
You are truly brillante! The accompaniment is EVERYTHING though, the off beat ragtime, nostalgic feeling, wouldn't be there without out. I imagine that the main melody wouldn't sound like much without the lower hand giving it a boost. Great idea and im sure extremely time consuming trying to figure out the sequence! Kudos to you!
Whats funny- If this went on for eternity, You'd eventually find all the songs you've ever listened to in here. Its a mathmatical impossibility for them to not be there :3
Even if this wasn't just the C pentatonic scale, it still isn't guaranteed that every song you've listened to would occur. The digits of pi (presumably) go on for eternity, but that doesn't mean they're random. For example, the decimal 1.101001000100001 etc... goes on forever, and never repeats itself, but clearly will never get every combination of numbers. The same applies to the digits of pi, just on a much larger scale. If the notes were completely random, then yes, you could find every song you've ever listened to, but it's not guaranteed for a ratio like pi.
I'M THE THE TRASHMAN That is not true. Because the numbers define a pitch for one note, and a length for another, most songs would probably be impossible. You can never have a half note followed by a 9, because notes before 8s and 9s are always sixteenth. Similarly, you can never have a sixteenth note followed by a 0.
I just found this and I love it so much. I don’t know why but every time I listen to it, it just brightens my day. I wish I could download this somewhere and listen to it any time

ive had this video in a playlist with a single other video since middle school. i remember walking between classes playing it in my headphones, its cheery upbeat randomness being the main thing keeping me going throughout the day. its one of my fondest memories of school in general. recently i looked through the playlists i had, and stumbled across said playlist once more. im 18 now, ive been out of school for a year, and yet this song has once again become a go-to for a small burst of motivation and energy that is sorely needed after this whole pandemic and the rest of the chaos thats ensued. this is basically the only song with no lyrics that can cheer me up from the bad moods i didnt even know i had. even after all these years, im still here lurking and listening to this masterpiece. what compelled me to write this? i dont know. maybe the fact that its 6 am and i havent slept? point is, im glad this video is still up, its been very helpful surprisingly :}
Its a pi-ano
Man im hungry, what should i watch
Pi isnt a number its music
Hey man a new song came out. *oh yeah whats it called?* its called 3.1415926535... _infinity later_ *hey i forgot the name can you say jt again?*
TheBaconBros Are you high?
TheBaconBros why does this have 0 context
n00bie because its a pun com-pi-lation it doesnt need context
TheBaconBros u missed it this time -
It's a com-pi-lation !
Requaero Remaneo it's spelled this way you uncultured swine: *comπlation*
The solo never repeats... Think about it...
there is a website where you can type your birthday and i can be found in PI actually :) VSauce mentioned that site if i remember correctly but not sure in which movie
Phill, is it proven?
"Pi equals 3.14
The devil pie's big enough to justify the whole thing"
I don't get it
It's amazing how, since this sequence is infinite, all our favorite piano songs are contained into pi at some point.
Does anyone else think they can almost hear a pattern?
PI ISN'T SUPPOSED TO HAVE PATTERNS.
Human mind is very efficient in finding patterns. So efficient actually that it can create them out of thin air.
***09*** always broke it up for me nicely. Almost Like the end of a stanza or whatever
That's because it's in a pentatonic scale.
Schner1 Maybe it's the background music
Yeah........ that's strange
We should send this shit to space to contact happy dancing aliens from the Broadway Nebula
quidpronihilo i know it's not real, but now i wish i lived in the broadway nebula that sounds friggin amazing
quidpronihilo y e s
XD that supposed to be a happy alien
RUclips? CAN I LIKE TWICE?
Derek Conway [GD] I'd say sharing the video is worth at least two likes ;)
It's not so cool...
this video is worth 3 like and a little bit ....i would say 3,14265 like
oh shet man, that pun was... I donno to say it is awful or amazing! xD
Derek Conway [GD] no, but you can do what i did and *cough*subscribe*cough* add the video to a "superliked" playlist.
Still better than despacito
8:59 lol
Can you please upload it without the background piano music? I would love that.
yea
no
The background piano music is what keeps it grounded. The part based on pi has so many off-beat rythms that it would be near-impossible to keep track of the rythm by itself.
Rasta Hat Attack you must speak for yourself as you don't know who has what abilities to do so
It literally has no patterns whatsoever without the background, Rasta's right
Best moments :
0:48-11:41
Fluffycat264 You do not have a sense. The best moment is decided from 0:48-11:41, is not it?
ああ ああ that's the joke
whooooooooooooooooooooooooosh
Played this while doing math homework
CHEATING
Oh, you want to use _C = 2πr_ to find the circumference of a circle? *Let me play you the song of my people.*
I'm pretending I didn't cringe
im pretending i didnt PogChamp
How is Pi good background music?!?!
try listening to it while doing math and i bet it'll get angering. but thats what i've turned it into too
So pi can be a forever on ongoing song
The real never-ending song
THIS IS THE SONG THAT NEVER ENDS!
Holy shiz its actially decent music and even probably without the background music
9:00
999999
Perfection.
Dude, you should do all the digits of pi, I want to hear the whole song!
Mr Pebbles we've got an idiot here
That would take literally forever 😄😂 Pi is an infinite number so yeah
I bet it was a joke..
It was a joke people
A livestream would work, though it would end never.

Me too bro, me too
Sounds like a really catchy broadway song. I love it
Gonna email to my maths teacher on pi day
Autisti-comet my birthday was on pi day and Stephen Hawkings died that day. Your welcome for your daily dose of d e p r e s s i o n !
Mimi Marie March 12-14th
It’s 3 days to celebrate math and my birthday is on the 2nd day of that.
Mimi Marie March 14th, the reason is the first 3 digits of pi are 3.14 and if you imagine that as a date you would get 3/14 which is March 14th.
What did your teacher think?
It's the symphony of our universe :O (or more: a possible interpretation of it, I guess XD but the nice thing is: it's also an endless symphony)
In the Original Plants Vs. zombies games, it mentions that the Sunflower bobs to the invisible beat of the universe. I checked and it matches the beat of the song. thumbs.gfycat.com/ImpracticalPhonyBoilweevil-size_restricted.gif
This is so beautiful. I LOVE it. These are the things in life that make me happy.
Wow!!! I’m just like staring at the screen for the whole video!!! My eyeballs were bulging out of their sockets looking at all the numbers!! FANTASTIC video by far! BRAVO!!!!!!!!
Happy Pi day, and RIP Stephen.
And That's how I play piano
well knowing a pentatonic scale is a pretty good start
*PI* ano AHAHAHAHA (kill me)
you said you're throwing random numbers :P
Of course it ends on 420.
Sennoma Uzanto i see a lot of things about this number but what does it mean ?
W O U L D Y O U L I K E T O ? !
It's a number assocciated with cannabis. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/420_(cannabis_culture)
Oh ok thanks
that is a myth btw
Sennoma Uzanto, your right Lol
0:49 song starts
4:39 when you look at the last 3 digits that were printed out when the counter says "360" are 3, 6, and 0
9:00 This is called the Feynman Point, with multiple consecutive 9s in a row. It sounds weird.
Gwyn, Lord of Cinder a minute 9
Honestly though, since it resolves with the 8, it ends up sounding unique and totally fine... Kinda wierd
6 to be exact
it ends at 420. 👏
👌
😂
🤠
42 is the answer
👍
literally no one:
RUclips recommended: *_Pi as Music_*
This is actually Pretty Cool! of Course there are twists and turns in the sound sometimes that didn't sound right, but it's quite funny how the song really repeats its pattern of beats several times in the whole song. Nice Video! :D
Old man: this generation is so dumb with their dumb music
Me:
i, um, memorized 60 places of pi with this video.
You should listen to 'Sweet Number Pi' by CollegeHumor. I memorized 144 digits using that song.
Huh, maybe this method would be good for memorizing pi.
why? You are missing infinite places yet so...
+RGV last Yep.
Laura Marsh nice
Happy Pi Day everyone!
Kayla Pearl CP Ninja do u know it wasnt pi day 2 weeks ago
Happy pi day on April 18th
lol pi day is my birthday
....pi day is March 14th...
ha ha ha.
Kudos to you!
genius... even still after 4 years... genius...
somebody: what music are you listening to?
me: well...
This is really amazing and beautiful. Thanks for sharing, and the sheet music too!
I like how some parts start and stop with the bgm. The higher digits really helped with that... overall, nice work!!!
It's that time again when you think that everything has been tried and it's not interesting, but here it is.
Original and new.
I think π is slowly becoming my favorite music genre.
Whats funny-
If this went on for eternity, You'd eventually find all the songs you've ever listened to in here.
Its a mathmatical impossibility for them to not be there :3
Except that same rhythm part will still be playing
Even if this wasn't just the C pentatonic scale, it still isn't guaranteed that every song you've listened to would occur. The digits of pi (presumably) go on for eternity, but that doesn't mean they're random. For example, the decimal 1.101001000100001 etc... goes on forever, and never repeats itself, but clearly will never get every combination of numbers. The same applies to the digits of pi, just on a much larger scale. If the notes were completely random, then yes, you could find every song you've ever listened to, but it's not guaranteed for a ratio like pi.
I didn't get a degree in psychology to be put back in highschool on the internet dwb
But for real, that's alittle disheartening, but thanks :P
I'M THE THE TRASHMAN That is not true. Because the numbers define a pitch for one note, and a length for another, most songs would probably be impossible. You can never have a half note followed by a 9, because notes before 8s and 9s are always sixteenth. Similarly, you can never have a sixteenth note followed by a 0.
I just found this and I love it so much. I don’t know why but every time I listen to it, it just brightens my day. I wish I could download this somewhere and listen to it any time
You can, there's a lot of online video downloaders, just type yt to mp3 or mp4
