Is it just me or does Pyrosomni Dust seem more... distressed than normal? He kind of seems like he'd bottling up a lot of stress instead of being perpetually angry or like he's flipping between the two throughout the interaction because he doesn't know how to feel at all so he just fights.

Sommiphobia is what the name of the song based on. It means Fears of Sleep. In this case, Dust/Murder is afraid of sleep forever.
These lines are from Solunary - the creator of the original song.

What makes this cover special is this cover is actually the most calm theme for Murder!sans while almost every remix is just chaos and depression. it's represent that he's still calm even though the situation is bad
