A long, long, time ago, Hades and Persephone had settled down and decided that they wanted a family of their own. And so the two of them had 3 girls, the eldest being Kayana (seen in video)
Kayana has always had a hobby for exploring new places and going on a new adventure. She wanted to go explore the human realm and meet other children her age - so she asked her father if she could leave the palace.
Hades - being very paranoid - didn't allow her to. He always kept Kayana locked up in the palace along with her other sisters. Kayana had always tried to go to the human realm, and no matter how many "No"'s Hades has tolder her, she still rebels and tries to go. So, in order for her to stay, he had to inflict fear on her to keep her away.
Yes it was manipulative, but it was the only way to keep his little girl safe.

Considering in the Hades game he wouldn't let his son out of the Underworld until he basically proved he was strong enough, Hades isn't going to let his baby girls out there into the dangerous Mortal World especially with his two younger brothers out there.

Read the description. And he's honestly so valid for being paranoid. Persephone already leaves for six months and when the rest of your family either gets jealous of a female's beauty or bangs any pretty lady they see, that is not something you want to expose your beautiful daughters to.

I am one of those Hades fan boys one of the commenters mentioned, and I have to say... I LOVE this! Here he's fun, dramatic, and with the asshole behavior as expected of a Greek god! Sure he's comparatively chill amongst the others, but that's just as long as you follow his rules. He's known as Stalwart Hades for a reason, and that's not necessarily a good thing depending on the circumstances such as this.

Persephone has to stay some time of the year in the underworld, half a year/three months, it's a rule. who knows what breaking it could do. maybe something like that passed onto their daughter. plus, best to keep her away from her uncles and her cousin Apollo

I imagine him as this sarcastic and cool dude that, if you ever fuck with him or his wife, will skin you alive ( or worse)but doesn't need to because no one ever will (he was respected to much by the people)
