- After almost two years working on this project it is finally finished; Herod's Temple Mount.
Journey back through time and see what Jerusalem's Crowning glory could have looked like two thousand years ago. Places that we can see the remains of today, places like Robinsons Arch and Barclays gate, Solomon's Stables and the Western wall, to name but a few.
Over the next few days I will be uploading each camera move that you see in this video in HD to the Bible Scenes Website. Each camera shot is substantially longer with an ease in and ease out at the beginning and end. The videos will be available for subscribers 4 weeks before general release and also in 4k.
In the next few months I will be working on descriptive videos for all of the elements that you see here plus lots more that you don't, (like the chambers immediately surrounding the temple). Please look out for those.
I just want to give Leen Ritmeyer a special thanks. I have used his book "The Quest" as my guide for almost everything that is seen in the video. It is a goldmine of information. He has also been kind enough to advise me along the way. Also Daniel Smith (Messages of Christ) has also been a great help and source of inspiration. It is lovely to meet someone who is so helpful and supportive (even though I am treading on his turf with my videos).
The individual HD videos will be available to download free from the Bible Scenes website on the 12/10/2023:

Thankyou. Every Good gift....
Followed a link from Ritmeyer Archaeological Design. Love your model of Herod's Temple 🤩 This a result of a rabbit trail this morning searching for the present day location for the excavated remains of the middle gate in Jerusalem (Jeremiah 39 breech of wall). Nice touch with the curtain at 3:33
That's so interesting. Was the Middle Gate on the City walls?
Simply genius. Absolutely beautiful. Well done.
Thanks Bob
Jeremy...so very well done! It has been exciting watching your progress on this one. You are such a blessing and the Lord has honored your labor!
Thank you Duane, that's very kind of you to say. Thank you for your support, it's very much appreciated.
Oh wow this is amazing it's great to see the progress from the last video keep This up
Wow! I feel like I’ve traveled back through time to walk through the temple. Such a locale for God’s great drama of redemption. Thank you!
Yes, when I was making it I kept imagining what it may have been like to have walked down the streets and up into the Temple Mount, imagine turning a corner and seeing a crowd and there in the midst is this man Yeshua that everyone is talking about.

Congratulations! Great work. Extraordinary research and wonderful execution. God bless you!
Thank you
Oen word only! AMAZING!
This is great! As a pastor and Bible teacher I am always looking for ways to make this place and time come alive. Thank you! Leen Ritmeyer is superb on the Temple Mount.
Yes, it is all so fascinating. His book is one of those worth having on the book shelf for constant reference.
Wow, that looks very good. I am currently trying to recreate Jerusalem in it's first century as well and I also want it to be as acurate as I can get it to available facts, history and archeology. I can say, it is a lot of work, but it's also a lots of fun and very interesting.
Very nice. Music was fitting as well. Interesting to find your channel an hour after you uploaded this.
super video sir
So well done! Great work on this Jeremy!
Thanks Daniel, and thanks for your input.
Super work.
Love ❤ from India
Thanks
This is beautifully done and helps the Temple come to life. The curtains in the Temple were decorated with keruvim though, not the images you use. Other than that, this is just inspiring. Thank you for your work!
Great work 👍 may god bless you
Thankyou Tarun.
Amazing work
Thanks Yehuda,
Excellent work as always
Thanks Jose
Thank You
You're welcome
Thankyou brother😮
Looking good brother 🔥
Thank you.
brilliant
l understand now yaba Gratitude for this season 💝💝🌠🌠🌠
Is this Solomons temple, that will be the only place that contains the Holy of Holy place. I didn't see the wooden cherubs, who's wings stretched from east to west. That were over 5 cubits long, I was just reading in the book of 1 kings where Solomon was in the process of building this magnificent master piece.
It's absolutely incredible, thanks for bringing it to life. I can't imagine how the workmen raised those columns.
Yes I was surprised why Herod didn't include those when he re-made the Temple. Someday I plan to re-do Solomon's Temple with the actual Holy of Holies. Thanks for the comment.
@@biblescenes
Okay, I mistook that temple for Solomons, why did Herod had a Holy place there? Since they didn't believe in the one true God. They had many, many gods. Great work by the way.
Thanks, I think Herod's family had been converts to Judaism at some point and was closely linked to the Jewish Faith (or something like that).
@@biblescenes
Okay, I will look into that.
Super awesome! Your work is very underrated in terms of view count. I think a video that people (like me) would be especially interested it is a 3-4 minute continuous shot that helps the viewer situate where things are. I think the choppiness of this video makes it hard to understand where each part of the temple is.
I did do a couple of other videos as well that might be better, this one specifically: ruclips.net/video/5-EdlbP2xvo/видео.html
It would be nice if you slowed it down a bit so we can absorb more of the scene. Thanks for your work.
Yes, it is all quite quick, primarily because there were so many parts to show, as it was I didn't get to show all the areas. All the scenes can be seen in full on the Bible Scenes website though: bible-scenes.com/herods-temple-mount/
מדהים
I would like to make a suggestion! If the videos are Creative Commons, avoid putting subtitles on the videos, this makes it easier for people in different languages to put subtitles, for example I am Brazilian.
It's a good point, although all the individual scenes can be downloaded from the website and don't come with any text on the screen. I will take your advice for future scenes and do a version without any titles.
Glória a Deus!!!
amén
Good video. Are the names of the gates/arches modern, i.e. Robinson, Wilson, Barclay, etc? Is the "Triple Gate" the Beautiful Gate mentioned in Acts 3? Thanks!
I'm pretty sure the only gate that is mentioned in Acts 3 is the double gate, you can see it better on the details video here: ruclips.net/video/5-EdlbP2xvo/видео.html
Literally l feel like I have enjoyed seeing how Herod's temple was 😂😂
Loved this. Curious about the veil with what appears to be a reference to Rev. 4:6? Were the four living creatures woven into the curtain?
Yes, and of course Ezekiel 41.This was all new to me before I started, my source is from Leen's book "The Quest" and a little bit of research (google).
Great work, even though I don't agree on many details. Have you been at the site ?
It's been quite a few years since I visited Israel and when I was there I didn't know I would be re-creating the Temple Mount in the future so didn't take a great deal of notice of all the parts that were evident. When I started this project all I had to go on was a lot of (often) conflicting information from various sources on the internet, when I found Leen's book I knew that this would save me a lot of headaches trying to work out what was most likely the most accurate. I think if I worried too much about getting it all absolutely right I wouldn't get anything done, as it was I had to change things I had modelled (like the shape of the Lintels) as I went along. You can kind of see my progress in the WIP videos that I made before releasing this one.
Why does the curtain of the temple not have the Cherbim on it? What is the deal with the differing heads on it?
Good Question, when I made the Veil in the Tabernacle I did put images of Cherubim on it and when I started this project I assumed that this Veil would be the same but apparently not. The images from Ezekiel's vision of the four living beings was used where each one had four faces, a Man, an Eagle, an Ox and a Lion.
Thank you, where did you find that it was not Cherubim? Do you have a reference for me? @@biblescenes
@@NewLifeChurchGladstone I got most of my information from Leen's book The Quest where he gives the description of Veil and the desription of the Cherubim from Ezekiel 10:14-22. You will need to ask him for a better understanding. I will contact him and see what his sources were too.
That was very cool! but why did you change the design of the veil between the holy place and the most holy place?
Aah good question, I had a few comments suggesting that the images on the curtain didn't look quite right and I also wasn't sure if they worked that well so, I re-did them. I still have the original render if you think they look better and can upload them as an alternative on the Bible scenes web site.
Bravo, this looks like it took a monumental effort and you have done jaw dropping work here. Do you plan to expand this further? The recent excavations of Herod's Pool of Siloam would make a wonderful addition to what you have here.
Thanks, I may yet expand it, that is always an option, although I was pretty much maxing out my graphic card and would be a bit tentative about adding too much more to it. I would need to optimise a lot of the textures and reduce the size throughout the scene which would take a while. I also have other scenes that I want to work on and could do with a break from the Temple Mount. Thanks for your comment.
Is this something I can view with my VR head set?
ובנה ביתך במהרה בימינו.
Rebuilt your House (The Temple) speedly in our days.
Not going to happen. If it did, people will ridicule you for being stuck in the bronze age.
@@danfrancis2707 would worshiping someone who died 2000 years ago be considered something normal? So bronze aged...
At 3:35, why is Jesus' face, a Lions head, bullskull, and a bird of prey on the curtain before the Holy of Holies?
Good question, I had to take the lead from Leen Ritmeyer for most of the site. I can't recall all the reasoning behind it is but it has something to do with the vision of God in Ezekial 1.
עם ישראל חי!
wait I’m confused. why are there so many british sounding names? I was expecting to see first century second temple and got british sounding names everywhere 😂 what’s going on?
maybe it's translated or based on it's current names
That's because some of the locations around the Temple Mount and elsewhere in Jerusalem were discovered by British archeologists and named after them.
Nice animation, but historically incorrect. That was the locatin of the Roman fortress!
The Sanctum Sanctorum is a real Catholic concept. Awesome.
