    My mum looks exactly like yours !!!! I got my stuff from the mum shop!!! The only thing is the extra Texas loops on the base. I got a triple and chose the same ribbbons and braids!

      Thank you sooo much!! It was just a pop up mum shop! Hopefully they have one near you! Definitely do some googling to see if there is any close. Also sometimes schools or school clubs do something similar for fundraising and maybe you could find things like that there too?

    dumb question, how did you get the boa on there? did u just staple it? 😭

    • @brookeash02
      @brookeash02  3 года назад +1

      Thats not a dumb question at all! I actually hot glued them! I just now realized I didn't show this part in the video but the base I made (with all of the staples in the back) I also hot glued the boas on the back of that base. Then you hot glue another base piece on the back of that one so when you wear it there are no staples or hot glue showing. Im trying my best to explain it on here lol! The layers of the mum would be:
      1. (top layer) has the flowers with the bear and the decorative ribbons I folded and stapled to make the base piece in the video.
      2. (glued to the back of the base^) the base piece that holds the ribbons that hang down to the floor
      3. (glued to the back of that^ base) the boa and the ribbon that goes around your neck - hot glued
      4. (the very back piece) another base piece that finishes it off so you cant see staples or hot glued boa

    And did you buy everything at hobby lobby

    • @brookeash02
      @brookeash02  3 года назад

      No I did not! I bought some from hobby lobby but also from pop up mum shops, unused things from graduated friends, online sales, and they also sell things at the other craft stores such as Joannes and Michaels! They have some stand alone mum shops you can take a mini trip to if you can find one semi close, they have it allllll there!

    Thanks so much for posting the video, I kept hearing about mums and had NO idea what that was (besides the flower) 🤭.

    How much did you spend

    • @brookeash02
      @brookeash02  3 года назад +1

      Im not sure the exact amount I spent but it was definitely a lot cheaper than they sell for pre-made. A lot cheaper! And I bought most of my stuff on sale or for pretty cheap! If youre planning to do mums and you know ahead of time it definitely helps to keep an eye out for sales year round!
