Macau was developed by Portuguese as China had leased the area to Portugal for hundreds of years. As far as I know, Portugal has always driven on the right side of the road. So, why does Macau drive on the left side?
It's obvious that they wanted this area to be more european, more Las Vegasian, more international aesthetic. If they keep it only traditional, you're gonna say they're close to the world and not connected to the world. Every company you see in this video is registered and not stolen fake imitation.

Most of the customers of the casinos are from mainland China and Hong Kong. Before China took over Macau in 1999, Macau has one casino only.
