    I also think that the decline of engagement in Red Velvet's comebacks could be due to the fact that the members are rarely posting stuff on their personal instagram outside of the promotion period, except for maybe Joy and Seulgi. Irene is the least active member on insta, with her not even posting anything related to Cosmic since its release on her personal account.

      members being inactive on Instagram could be burn out too because there are groups with no Instagram like new jeans and itzy till recently who had good chart performance. but yeah it would help if the members themselves promoted but that's still sm's job.

      @kiorary yeah, I would too tbh. I'm not really a fan of SKZ music, bc it's not my style, but something I realized is that their music sounds pretty much the same. Like even when they create a song abt being totally in love, they still manage to make it fit their theme and make the song sound like there would be explosions in the background of the MV. And that's not a bad thing at all, like props to them for being able to do that lol

    its hard to find groups that havent been on sone type of rigged show these days, they put mainly the popular / relevant trainees in one group separating them from the rest and its always obvious who going ot dbeut them but these groups are also so short lived or temporary. there were so many trainees that i actually wanted them to debut on pd48 but its all just ends up being tackh or sickly sweet obnoxious songs that i forget about after sometime. even if the song go viral or the group ends up a potential success, idfk i dont always click with these groups bc it seems so forced?
    the only reason they debut them such a young age nowadays is due to the fact their image can be heavily controlled or micromanaged to fit the songs, 20 is now too old to debut anyone over 30 is never going to be considered bc adults are likely going to challenge what they dont like or they are unable to be as manipulated to fit a certain image or concept. thats why these "generations" of kpop is going by so quickly because they never stick with something long enough to see its full potential. that or they churn these groups out so fast but only some of them have any real or decent talent. even idols that dont have good vocals couldve been inproved upon but they always seem to want groups to fit the song not the other way around.
    bts were lucky in tht at the time they went abroad no one else in the west was ever going to gain as much bc one direction had just split up so what else was there? i dont remember a group after 2012 other than bts and tbh i think its up to a younger group like ateez to try to take bts popularity but its not easy if they from a small company yet they still have potential to be as big as bts imho, san is already as popular as jk.
    these groups are short lived thats why they cant always maintain chart rankings esp if theyre like rv where maybe they have aged out of the system where it now want someone younger than 12 to debut. its just how it is kpop is the fast food of music
    skz i dont really follow them religkously sure its good branding but after sometime i expect them to try something new or different like have a rapper sing or do a softer melody with good quality vocals, aometimes loud noise isnt always the most listenable tracks so i like it if a group shows it has variation in its sound otherwise they get boring lol, i still think they got so much they can demonstrate but they always seem to fall back on playing it safe and doing what theyre familiar with instead of really going for sometning different. cause lowkey they can put any western celeb in their videos and it still wouldnt surprise me.

    • @kiorary
      @kiorary 2 месяца назад +2

      I agree with everything but the bts one, they did get lucky but their team was doing good work to make them seen more authentic than their competitors and they had plenty namely exo which was getting the push as well as got7 to some extent. San is not as popular as jungkook, his solo streaming numbers are 10 times ateez. I'm not exaggerating bro had 15m FILTERED spotify streams for a month straight holding no1 on global spotify while ateez don't enter sometimes with a full comeback with around 1M streams.

      I would also say If anyone is kinda potentially going to replace bts it'd be stray kids but even then they're about to enter enlistment peirods and they're still losing on charts to jimin's SOLO. maybe a 5th gen boygroup can grow in the west because both ateez and stray kids are approaching enlistment periods without ever cracking the peak bts had at 2017 even

      @@kiorary ahh right I wasnt a fan during that era but it makes sense. I only remember of bts and blackpink at first due to that being the main two relevant groups of that time period. He might not be yet but he is getting that way. honestly i dont think charts actually matter a group is still eventually going to be viral or global enough to maintain their success with or without bilboards. ateez sold over 1bil pre orders for their album so yes imho they are getting to be on par of bts. streams are pointless, no ones listening to the full song but streaming it just so it does well for the group thats why no ones streaming it. oh well if no one going to be the next bts groups should just enjoy their popularity as it will still gain them some success before enlistement and people shouldnt act liek enlistement is the be all end all of a group.

    • @randomuser-nt9if

      @@kiorary seriously tho its the formatting of these groups that either makes them short lived or the fact that in some way they have to do as much as they can befor enlistment other than that if ateez had debuted in the west they wouldve been better promoted too bc like they dont even come to my country the second biggest western country next to amerixa and when they come here its always london? im so tired of london, la and other main cities like come further up this country or dont bother cause the promotion of these groups is forced into small areas or cities where only locals are going to go too.

      @@kiorary and mainly young audiences are attracted to these groups esp ones from lesser known companies but my issue is they still have the same generic kpop format. like they have ships and some of the ships even cause jealousy among ateez members cause rheyre still trying to figure out how to get good communication from their fans, its working but idfk im kind of over this kpop needs to save my life type shit. or the way these idols eventually makreted as someones potentially fake boyfriend or girlfriend so these idols bount to attracted unhinged behaviours from their audiences. no wonder they cant date freely.
