Brava👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I can truly appreciate the sound and true clarity you convey. I was wondering what happened to you, now I see that you’ve been working very hard😉and it’s really paid off. Patience is a virtue. Welcome back.
Thank you so much Jacqueline! You are always very generous with your comments and encouragement! It means a lot! 🙏🏻 I was indeed spending a lot of time in the practice room this semester, so will be posting more performances soon. 🎶
Thanks you! Indeed, I have been playing this one for about 3 years now, on and off. (Scary to thing about how many hours I have spent improving it! But it is all worth it! Arts requires sacrifices:)
incredible performance Daria!! I know that you've been practicing this piece a ton. This is a very challenging piece, and its definitely the best rendition that I've heard. Keep it up!!
Thanks so much, I appreciate your feedback! 🙏🏻 Yes, I have to admit, I have been working on this piece for such a long time, that I really want to achieve a certain interpretation that I envision, and I am very close with this performance, even with the imperfections, it delivers the right energy I think. Thanks for listening and sharing your thoughts on it!
Thank you! I have been indeed practicing a lot lately, solo and chamber music. Will post more performance videos soon! Sorry for the wait with teaching videos. It is almost time for the summer break, so excited to make more of those. Thank you for hanging still around on my channel! 😊
I hope your recital went great. I remember watching a video of Ashkenazy performing this Etude and how nervous he was right before it.. I guess it must be a very psychologically demanding piece to perform.
Thank you! haha, yes, those 2 bars are very difficult, fingers just have to fly, lol. For me personally mm. 35-36 are the worst. I am using a tricky fingering there on the first beat;) (I play 3 over on C#, after the 5 on A 🤫)
Wonderful! And Thank You very much for your review of the P-515. That led me to purchase one as a temporary piano while waiting 13 months for delivery of a CLP-785 which just arrived. After 40 years I am restarting lessons with a wonderful pianist and have the privilege of playing on her model B that was once owned by Josef Hofmann! Have you performed or recorded Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in B Minor, op. 32 #10, or Prelude in G Minor, op 23, #5? I would love to hear your interpretations of them. Thank You!
Hello and thank you for listening and leaving a comment! I am very glad you are playing again and that you found a wonderful teacher to guide you. Wow, owned by Hofmann himself, what a treat! I have no played either of those preludes...yet! Definitely on my list! Rachmaninoff is my most favorite composer, and this B-minor prelude is one of my favorite pieces by him, so I am waiting for an interpretation that matures in my mind, before I start learning it. It would be an important piece from to learn.
srsly, you can check out the Wikipedia page of Chopin 10.1, it has the following reference: "Virtuoso pianist Vladimir Horowitz, who refused to perform this étude in public, said, "For me, the most difficult one of all (the études) is the C Major, the first one, Op. 10, No. 1." 😀en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89tude_Op._10,_No._1_(Chopin) 😀 @@Dariafortepiano
Welcome back Daria. It's like you've never left, I didn't expect anything less than your impeccable playing!
Thank you so much, dear Yotam! You have been doing some great playing on your channel as well! 🎶👍🏻 Cheers!
Stunning piece 👏
Thank you, indeed a stunning piece it is!! Chopin is Chopin:)
I'm learning Nocturne opus 9 No2 ,absolutely love it.

Beautiful!
Thank you!!😊
The video you did of this Etude in Sep 2021 shows how much you’ve improved on it.

@DariaPiano Absolutely! And your very welcome☺️❤️
I think the person bringing this music to life here might be even more beautiful than the piece itself. Very spirited performance 👌
Thanks so much! Sorry for the late reply🙏
The genius is back! 🔥
haha, thank you😄
You've been missed Daria. Good work❤❤
Thanks so much for your comment and support! 🙏🏻
@@Dariafortepiano You're welcome. I appreciate your response. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy watching your videos.
Beautiful. It sure sounds like you’ve been practicing instead of making videos. Nothing wrong with that. This was well worth the wait…🌺

Long time not seen you, Daria.....Mmmm, nice interpretation, congratulation, dear!
Many thanks for your comment and as always for your support of what I do! 🙏🏻
@@Dariafortepiano Daria the lovely and talented pianiste😍 🥰 😘
Well played! This piece is very demanding. Speaking personally I have come to loathe bars 30 -32. 😂

Congratz, you've just mastered a piece that Vladimir Horowitz flatly refused to ever play in public. 😃
Wow, Horowitz and me in one sentence! I'm flattered already:) thank you!
