Nice tour. I am testing and looking to see what will grow in the fall and winter also.

Nice! What do you have planted? What zone are you? How are things going so far?

@@diaryofafumblingfarmer8291 I'm zone 7B. I'm testing rosemary. It's a tender perennial here, and it's holding up well so far protected. I also started my strawberries this fall. I thought I started too late, but they held up well through the cold nights. The other things I have growing is garlic, brassicas, and perennial herbs hardy to the area. The only one I'm worried about is the broccoli. It is not as hardy as the other brassicas, but so far it is holding up into the high 20s.

@Amarie1961 those all sound like things that should do well for you in the cold!

I don't know.. it is looking like we are headed for a rough winter this year... I read something about the change in the direction of the jet stream is going to bring come weather farther south. What didn't make it for you? Do you have your stuff covered?

@@diaryofafumblingfarmer8291 I lost some peppers and tomato plants that were still hanging on. I had them in my greenhouse and it just got too cold. But I purchased a greenhouse heater so hopefully that will help. I’m growing indoors in my hydroponic system too so I have a few peppers and tomatoes to replace those.

@@GodsDesire4me you are brave for trying to keep peppers alive in the cold! I think the heater will definitely help!

I wish I could figure out what was going on with our school plants. It's almost like the leaves got smashed on the way in after summer or something because a lot of the damage is around the pot rims. I've repotted the two I brought home and am letting them settle before I try anything else. So sad about it because they were so beautiful at the start of school. I've never had trouble with spidies. 😢

It is really sad to see them so droopy... they did have those bugs in them at the beginning of the year too. I wonder if those could have caused damage or disease?

@@diaryofafumblingfarmer8291 I don't know. But the leaves are just going black one at a time, even transplanted into fresh soil. I'm totally lost for what to do for them.
