What a terrific write-up on one of the most divisive yet popular bands ever to come from Canada! Thanks Michael. I hope you can give this same treatment to one of the Forgotten Rebels' biggest influences --- *Teenage Head*, also a part of Hamilton, Ontario's first wave of Punk Rock.

Hi. Thanks, every RUclips post I have placed up has large writes up, and many are 'personal' like the girl in the T-shirt introduction to this post. Have a look at some other of my posts, you might like what you listen to or read. I only place up posts with records I own (apart from the actual old VHS digitalised by me posts) all audio recorded at 320, all images that go with the audio are scanned at 300 dpi. Nothing, absolutely nothing is 'ripped off' of the internet. All my stuff, whether posters, booklets, fanzine interviews and so forth. I like to spend time on the posts so people like you can enjoy them. I do not know Teenage Head, and unless I own the record, there would not be a RUclips post (for the reasons above, not ripping shit quality audio and visuals off the internet. What I will do is look out for Teenage head on discogs or something and if I get something I will digitalise it all myself and create a post.

That's more than what the average punker could hope for, so thanks again! I appreciate your duty to the bands to create quality material, something that can be pretty rare here on RUclips!

+Peter Byker indeed. The other option seems to be just leaving a generic RUclips 'standard RUclips licence' Message up in the 'description' box! I got an SNFU live performance up with another great write up. It was my birthday the same night. Search for SNFU or just scroll around the 'channel' All the best.

They were by no means right wing extremists. Mickey's partner for decades was (maybe still is) a woman of colour. I Wanna Be A Nazi was in fear of the end of Rock n Roll due to conservative press moral panic. It was an over the top reply to all the names they were being called anyway. Satire. Ya kinda had to be there. There were no bigoted bands in the early Toronto Punk scene (I know they were from Hamilton, but they played here every week for years). Many who joined that exciting scene were just trying to get away from the violent slobs at The Gasworks, some of whom would attack local punks and gays on sight. We were natural allies. Bomb the Boats was De Sadist mocking the shocking nonsense he would hear from mis-guided (ok, racist) coworkers at an auto parts company where he worked for many decades. I really doubt they really hated Elvis too. Enjoy their insane tunes with a clear conscience. Have a decent day.

shock rock is very complex and it seems you have to understand the context, but still, is it appropriate to use other’s struggles as a medium to convey another issue?

@@ethanhampson3561 is "appropriate" really what we are looking for from classic punk rock?

@@ethanhampson3561 nothing is off limits and everything can be used for art. What are you gonna do, try and stop people from expressing themselves?
