As a result of 40 years as a RN & as many as an animal owner, I am convinced that animals ( & frequently humans) know when it is time for their passing back to God who created them. Given the choice they prefer to be where they feel safe, loved and peaceful. You and everyone you trust your animals with certainly provided that to Amara, Lucky, and all the other creatures in your care. Can you think of a better way to end your life than in the place where you feel most peaceful and surrounded by those who've loved and cared for you? Yes, tears will flow & the heart will be bruised, but I pray you find comfort in knowing how amazingly wonderful your acts of kindness are to these horses. Thank you, & God Bless.❤️
She's running in the pastures of Heaven. Thank You, Lord, for loaning this wonderful horse to us, to learn about Your noble strength and deep kindness. Give her treats and pats from us. Lift and comfort our hearts.
The most love and gentle care she got in her entire life was with you, and you saved her, her you really did. She passed the best way…peacefully with your hands touching her with your total and pure love. Rest In Peace, Amara.
❤❤❤ Amara clearly did not want to burden you with her issues, knowing full well how you had given her all the love, care and sweet final days of life. You should be so very proud of what you a are doing for these lovely creatures. Also, THANK YOU from way over here in Sweden for being such a beautiful role model for my daughter who is by no means a horse person but is watching intently and learning how caring for others, human or not, is how we make the world a better place.
Good night beautiful Amara, thank you wonderful people who loved and cared so thoughtfully for her. You can rest assured she will be in Glory with her creator.

Thank you for being you and for Cory being the person he is.

Teaching viewers / subs / and now your students about Amara's severe work-related injuries and letting Julie film it is an awesome service to all horse lovers. Thank you for teaching about the electroshock therapy to her neck to release healthy proteins to fight inflammation. I never knew about that. Your chiropractic adjustments were amazing. Amara loved them. Her neurological issues must have made such pain though; she finally decided to cross the rainbow bridge. Thank you, Dr. Waggoner, for giving her such kindness and then final relief!

You and Cory made the right decision. She told you when it was time. And you have to respect that. I'm so sorry you lost Amara. You did the right thing. That's what you have to remember. I'm glad you donated her to the Vet college, so she can help new Vets learn and maybe help other horses in the future. Thank you for all that you do for these gentle giants. From a friend, a Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦🇺🇲🙏
Absolutely know how much it hurt but just think about how many horses you may save.
Thank you for giving her a safe place during the end of her life.
It is heartbreaking when we lose one of the herd.
You did all the right things for her wellbeing, bless you all.
Amara knew it was time. She also knew she was loved. You all brought joy into her life. She died with dignity. God bless you for what you do for the horses on a daily basis ❤
You did the kindest thing of all for her, a caring, peaceful death, knowing she was loved!
She's running in the pastures of Heaven. Thank You, Lord, for loaning this wonderful horse to us, to learn about Your noble strength and deep kindness. Give her treats and pats from us. Lift and comfort our hearts.
💚💙💜💛to Amana run free sweet girl you gave all you had sorry you had hard life but glad you had love respect care in her last weeks
The most love and gentle care she got in her entire life was with you, and you saved her, her you really did. She passed the best way…peacefully with your hands touching her with your total and pure love. Rest In Peace, Amara.
I'm so sorry to hear about dear Amara. Know that you did all you possibly could for her. 🙏💕💐
Thank you for loving Amara and all the horses.
The kindest decision is often the hardest one.
Thank you
❤❤❤
Run free beautiful girl you are free of pain now 🌈 xx
Goodbye Mara we love you
❤❤❤
Amara clearly did not want to burden you with her issues, knowing full well how you had given her all the love, care and sweet final days of life.
She knew she was loved. I'm sorry for the lost of a sweet girl. ❤
Hi again
She knew she was finally safe and loved and how hard you were working to help her issues. Such peace that must have given here as she remained so calm and accepting. Know you tried and those days with you were her very best. Heartfelt thx for all you do and the TLC you give.
How very, very special and loving you and Cory are….the time and love you give these horses are the very thing that they need at the point they come to your farm. It breaks my heart to see and hear how very sad you are. Nothing anyone can say to make the pain go away or lessen but the love you gave was never wasted. Thank you for being you and for Cory being the person he is.
You gave her a marvelous last few months! So proud for all that you do!
God bless the work you do. You gave her weeks with love and let her pass on with dignity.
She died loved and in quiet. Thank you for taking such good care of her. God bless you all for trying to help.
I’m not a horse person but you saved her from a very scary and lonely death. Go hug and kiss your other animals and have a good cry. God bless
❤❤ Dr. Waggoner, is there anything you can't do!

You're the best!
You gave Amara love and she knew it. It is always sad when their time is short but you were with her. Thank you for giving her the love and care. My heart goes out to you as I know how hard it is to let one go but she is at peace.
She knew it was her time, over worked and descarded.. But she was 💕 loved and cared for at the end you could see it in her face.Bless you all
My condolences and a huge hug for you guys. This is the sad and unfortunate part of what you guys do. Just remember you gave this sweet girl everything you could to help her and you gave so much love which is the last thing she will have remembered. She’s now part of Grandpas herd and she’s no longer in pain and she’s smiling every day because of the love she was shown. You are angels and as hard as it is right now you are strong and you will continue to save and love these beautiful animals. RIP Amara 😢🙏🏻😘
Thank you for showing Amara what love truly is! Her golden time with you at Fletcher Farms Amarillo is immeasurable! God Bless you and all of your deserving draft horses and family!
Thank you all you did for that sweet mare! You gave her some rest and freedom she must have never had!
She had a lot of mountains to climb. 😢 to see how overworked she was and when she fell, they shipped her off. 😪 Thanks for giving her L❤VE and care. 🐎 My heart breaks for you, but you made the right choice for all the right reasons. RIP Amara.
Thanks for being there for her🇨🇦💞
So sad about Amara. She gave all she had,and was just worn out.She got so much love and care from you in the short time she was there. Thankyou for making a difference in the lives of these beautiful animals❤
You and Cory showed Amara what true love really is. She was loved until the end and didn't pass away alone. Y'all did everything you could for her and that is what meant the most. Amara is running those pastures in the sky. Thank you for saving these beautiful horses. Sending hugs and prayers
Julie, you are such an inspiration. Thank you for the love you gave to Amara . ♥️♥️♥️♥️🐴
Thank you for sharing this heartbreaking story. You did all you could to make her life comfortable at the end. She knew you were there for her. Bless you and Cory for giving these beautiful animals the attention and care they deserve and to make it possible for them to pass with dignity and love. My heart goes out to you.
You gave her a fear free dignified passing. Bless you ❤
Amara is a sweet soul and obviously enjoying her new life. I am only sorry that her life before was such a hard one. Thank you for what you do, you have a good heart as well.
Thank you for really trying and caring so much.
Oh, Julie. You and Corey must be broken-hearted. Amara was a gorgeous horse beneath so much suffering. She tried hard to endure it all. Lucky has a mare now and Amara has her guy. I can see them trotting around in a field of the yummiest goodies with a cool stream running through! Many blessings to you and your lovely horses! 💓💔💓
Sweet girl. Thank you for your kindness and giving her the best care. I can't imagine how heartbreaking her loss is. Blessings to you.
So sorry for the loss, who knows what kind of life she had, at least she knew someone cared at the end. Rescue has its highs, but the lows are so painful.
You are so right! There are so many ups and downs in rescue.
I used to foster old dogs. I always delayed a bit too long at the end. Concentrate on the last part of her life, which was probably the best part of her life. Thank you for giving that to her.
I'm so sorry. Thank you for saving her, giving her love and a humane passing.
Letting go is never easy, but this time it was the right thing to do. You make a difference one horse at a time.❤
Heartbreaking! I don't know how you do this, but I'm so glad that you are there for these precious horses who have given their lives to hard labor for the benefit of their keepers! I join together with all of your supporters in lifting you up spiritually in order to strengthen you in these difficult times. I hope that you feel the love and compassion that we all feel for you as you minister to these gentle giants.
Thank you for all the love, care and kindness you gave Amara. She was so fortunate to have spent the time she had left with you.
Thank you for the kind words! We appreciate your support. We wish we could have given Amara more time to be a horse but she knew love before she passed.
I admire the care you provide these horses and the love you show them!!!!!!God Bless You for all you do!
What I know was that she had no doubt of her right to live and kindness when she crossed the rainbow bridge. You gave her all that you could, and thank you for sharing her with us.
You gave her your all. Thank you and God bless you for all your help and love to Amara.❤
Clean dry stall, food, water, love and care. This was more than she’d had before. She appreciated all you did for her. ❤
Thank you! I just wish we could have given her longer.
The hardest part of love is grief. Thank you for all the love you poured into her❤
I'm so sorry for your loss. Amara probably had more loving care and attention in the short time you had her than she'd ever had before, judging by her condition and injuries. At least she didn't have to suffer the terrifying journey, crammed into a transport truck, towards a horrifying slaughter process. She was given the peaceful ending in loving arms. Thank you for what you do.
Yes, she could not of endured that haul to Mexico or Canada.
Beautiful Amara. I am so very sorry. She knew she was loved by you and it was the best love she'd ever had. Thank you for caring for her and loving her like you did. Fly high you beauty ❤
Thank u for caring for these poor horses.
She is such a gentle beauty. Bless you Amarara.
She knew how muc you loved her. Thank you and God Bless. Run like the wind Amaro...run sweet girl.
The hardest part of rescuing is letting them go. Bless you!
Oh my, I was crying right along with you. The one thing you can console yourself with is that the last days of her life she got to know what love is. I know from experience how hard it is to put a horse down. Keep up the wonderful work you do, those horses need you desperately. Have you ever tried Red Cell ( a Iron-rich vitamin & mineral supplement made by Horse health Products) it is a great product.
As a 49 year old woman with 2 forms of debilitating arthritis and severe degenerative disc disease, my heart aches for this sweet horse. She deserved so much more than what life gave her. I’m thankful that her last months of life were spent with those who loved her and wanted what’s best for her. Sometimes the physical pain becomes so overwhelming, unrelenting or exhausting it becomes too much. Rest easy Amara 💜
Goodbye Amara, may you run freely in the fields of heaven with the warm summer wind flowing freely along your back. You are love.
Thank you for the kind words. We truly appreciate your support.
