Just wanna say I'm really happy y'all enjoyed the song and I'm grateful that a lot of people have wanted to chart this and remix this. If anyone is interested in making a mod out of this I only request that you credit me and for this version and marstarbro for the original song. I've also had some people ask me about some other characters that could've been in this on discord and in the comments, so let me just go over why they weren't here. The primary reason is that the song was already 6:38 with the amount of characters I had and I felt like that was plenty enough to feel like a "Finale". For some other particular characters with specific reasons, - Starved wasn't included because I'm not a huge fan of his chromatic and it doesn't exactly fit the vibe I wanted - Fatal isn't in here cuz I forgor about him, I might've added him if I had remembered - Faker isn't in here because the team made it clear during the development of 2.5 that they were highly opposed to fan content including Faker and I didn't want to be involved in that drama
Look on the bright side; Starved wouldn’t go after Boyfriend since he is a human, and Starved doesn’t eat humans, so it would make sense that Furnace, who doesn’t care about such differences, will take his place.
What I'm really impressed by is that you've managed to make everyone's turn quite unique. In the original V2 Final Escape I heard only two main "verses" that were repeated throughout the whole song (though still it's one of my favorites cause it's simply too good). But with this recreation I rarely heard repetitions in the vocals of the characters. Very well done!
Although leitmotifs can be cool, I really do enjoy writing melodies in different styles. I tried to create differentiation between characters in the best way I could :)
I'm in love with the Sunky section, I love how calm it is and how well it leads into Fleetway's section and gets back into the high octane action of the overall song

I could legitimately see this as being the 'true' version of Final Escape. When other characters come in, they might bring in unique mechanics (Furnace throwing fireballs at you, Sunky helping you out with cereal, etc), all the while Xenophane hovers in the middle while BF runs away from there, towards the camera. Might appear like everything's being sucked into the central ring. Hell, might even appear like all of the other .exe's are being absorbed towards him, too, which could be interesting mechanically, as you could end up teaming up with them to escape in the middle of the song, taking advantage of their unique mechanics to get out faster.
Furnace: Fireball (acts like a Tricky Fire Note) Tails Doll: uses the gem on it's head to shoot lasers at your notebar making you not have to press any key to survive while the laser is there or else you die (it will also destroy the notes so you can still Full Combo) Lord X: Illegal Instruction messages appear in the middle of your screen's X-axis at random Y values each time you miss obscuring your view and in order to get rid of them you have to hit a note Majin: Infinity Notes will appear and if you hit them you go back 1 minute in the song (hence why it's an infinity note since it can loop infinitely) Xenophanes: Static Notes Needlemouse: Red, Blue, Yellow, and Bumper Spheres (a reference to Blue Sphere The Game appearing in a season 1 episode of needlemouse) you have to hit the Blue spheres or else you die, hitting the Red spheres kills you, hitting the bumper spheres reverses the direction you progress in the song (which makes infinity notes useful) and hitting Yellow spheres makes you jump ahead a minute further into the song (unless you are going backwards in which case it makes you go back a minute) Sunky: Cereal notes appear and hitting them gives you full health Fleetway: shoots a laser twoards BF making him have to use space to jump above it Finally if you have a ring it will be used if you fall victim to one of the harmful mechanics in order to make things fair (including forwards infinity notes and backwards Yellow Spheres)
This definitely feels more like a true finale to the mod than what the original tried to do, as good as it was. Amazing work, love how almost everyone (or at least the most important ones) got a little shine in the spotlight.
This 100% is the best/definitive version of final-escape, Great vocals and instrumental, the song doesnt oddly cut/stop and then start up again like the other fan-mades do either. (and has a lack of repetition.) The fact that you not only changed the instrumental/improved on it whilst also adding in 8 other characters besides xenophane makes it even better, especially because all of the parts are unique. 10/10 honestly.
The ending is also a much needed improvement! The OG's ending was so anti-climatic for an otherwise amazing song, so I was happy to see it get changed for the better!
i've heard someone say final escape/too far was supposed to be 10 FUCKING MINUTES LONG so this fanmade recreation is probably the closest to the real thing
I'd assume towards the end it'd be styled like how the mod team originally styled their logos, with each character in the ring. Nice thinking of them all singing side-by-side

I thought of how this could look like in-game. It’s very ambitious and would need a lot of effort, but again it’s just a concept I thought of. Up until Majin arrives, it’s the same as the current fanmade final escape mod. When he does, he appears in the ring beside xenophanes, same happens for lord X. When tails doll comes in, BF realises that ribbon he’s running on is coming to an end, and is forced to hold onto tails doll to avoid falling, like what the actual tails and sonic do in the games. Furnace appears while BF is still holding onto tails doll, they’re all flying now. Tails doll then drops BF, but he lands on one of those floating green hill pieces from the concept art and runs alongside hog. Xenophanes also appears above them briefly. As they run, BF stops when he sees sunky, who seems oblivious to everything falling apart and is doing that one dance he always does. BF’s singing here is him explaining to sunky why he should be running, but sunky doesn’t want to leave, he can’t leave his milk and cereal behind. The ground then suddenly collapses, BF and fleetway sing while falling. BF also becomes super here like in chaos, he can’t fly though. In the final section, Xenophanes, majin and lord X are all in one big ring like earlier, while every character (no matter whether they actually sing or not) from the mod is holding onto it. Fleetway, furnace and tails doll are flying though, and some of the characters are holding onto random floating objects like the SEGA logo, checkpoints from sonic 1 and ring monitors. At the end of the song, BF falls into a special stage ring and the screen cuts to black, we don’t see what happens to the other characters but it’s safe to assume they just disappeared, never to be seen again.

I just realized that (almost) all the characters here are from version 2.0 of the mod, with the exception of furnace, hog and scorched (but hog and scorched more or less are there instead of EXE, making furnace the only true odd one out of the cast) and that’s pretty neat. Edit: after digging around in the comment section a bit I realized that I’m probably over analyzing this a bit.
Dude as a sendoff this is AMAZING, every section properly fits the theme and vibe of each character's song when they first hop in, and then the cut to the Final escape instrumental is sick! Even using cut characters too! Amazin!
This needs WAY more attention! Better than most Final Escape versions out there! I like how it has its own melody from the instrumental (which most other ones follow the inst) and how it uses more characters like in triple trouble!
Surprised after all the times I’ve viewed this I hadn’t commented. I love this. The beginning sounds jazzy sorta, it has a lot of characters, and feels like a good sendoff. Everybody has sorta their own beat and not really any repeating. And it’s just awesome.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to hear this amazing version of the song. It feels like the best version possible. People have been putting their ideas so now I’m throwing my thoughts in the ring. So to begin it could either have the intro the current version final escape has with the title screen glitch out and xeno doing the bit before the running. Then it transitions to the main running portion. And maybe each character can have a mechanic involving the spacebar, for xeno being the hand like in the current version. After that verse, I imagine bf was losing ground but as xeno was getting ready to grab him, a ring opens up and Majin runs out, and grabs bf and they keep running with Majin carrying bf. Then lord X either is sent out by Xeno or is simply there of his own accord, but he tries to stop bf by knocking Majin down. Their verse plays out and lord x launches at Majin, knocking them both down and bf into the air where he grabs onto the tails doll who is just flying by. That’s when furnace appears and could either start throwing fireballs or shooting blasts at the tails doll to knock bf down. Then as their verse finishes up, xeno’s claws swipe through the air and demolish furnace and shred the tails doll to pieces, causing bf to fall where he lands on one of the green hills portions, where he keeps running and finds hog, who is running by his side. Then hog transforms into scorched which causes him to fall behind a bit before he begins charging bf. But then he leaps and bf stops running as they reach the end of the green hills section, causing scorched to go leaping off the edge. Then either bf finds sunky sitting there eating cereal, and as his verse closes bf picks sunky up and fleetway appears. His verse passes and bf throws sunky to fleetway as xeno catches up finally, fleetway flies away and boyfriend’s only option is to jump down. Now bf’s in free fall and the other characters can be falling around them or it could just be xeno and bf going for the final stretch. For the ending it could either be there’s a ring that bf falls through that is the exit, or bf slides onto a ribbon, setting him upright and the camera angle changes to show the edge of a screen where bf leaps out at the end and the game shuts off behind him

This is a masterpiece, I would never have thought about final escape being about escaping from everyone you have fought. Therefore this is my favorite iteration of final escape and gets a like.
This has got to be the greatest version of Final Escape yet. I love how you included characters throughout the mod to join in. The fact that Majin and Sunky are here gives me the idea that they give Boyfriend some aid in this song, judging by a reply someone made to my comment. Also, I like how you didn't let much verses repeat unlike other versions. Repetitive things can get annoying, and creating new verses was a great idea. Truly an epic recreation. Vs Sonic.EXE may be dead, but it will forever live in our hearts.

Well this is actually it, the best version of final escape we will ever get, now I want to see a mod made from this! I just found out there’s going to be so that’s epic!

something i like to imagine as every character apears is that BF is going through warp rings and is continuing to run away from the exes. at the beginning its the final escape moving on to Majin where BF is running through the Majin forest and ends up to Lord X's burning hell scape that is Angel Island where Majin shows up through another warp ring. BF escapes Majin and Lord X and ends up in Sonic R where he's running away Tails Doll in Resort Island. then BF warps to Bad Future Stardust Speedway where Furnace is flying after BF. BF enters HOG's realm which (in my head) is a darkened out Green Hill Zone then warps to Sunky's realm. BF jumps through another warp ring where he hopes its his last warp where he encounters Fleetway which he then goes through his final warp ring and ends his long battle with Xeno in the Final Escape area
I like to imagine when his part starts, Majin runs in and grabs Boyfriend's hand to help him run faster. And when Sunky appearears he throws Scorched (I think that's his name) to the side and helps them out. Since Majin & Sunky are good and not on the EXEs side.
Furnace would also help Boyfriend more than anything. Starved isn't a cannibal, so he doesn't care about him, and Furnace is programmed to hunt Sonic. Now what would he be surrounded by right now...?

YES I commented about this on someone else's video (I think CommunityGames?) On Final Escape, and I said that the thing to make the song better would be to have everybody else from the mod show up!! Though I DID say things about *some* characters being there to HELP Boyfriend (i.e. Majin), this concept of it works just as well! I can easily see some of the added characters being there to say *farewell* to Boyfriend instead of stop him, and the entire song is just amazing!!
Also just now noticing, but if Fleetway's Icon had been on the bottom, and everyone else was spread horizontally a bit more, the arrangement of everyone's Icons would've looked like a diamond! (Chaos Emerald, maybe?..)
If a mod ever comes out of this, here's some ideas that came to my mind. First, the song starts out with Sonic EXE chasing you through green hill and stays like that the whole section. Then at 1:18 , EXE falls behind and you run into a forest where Majin is also running beside you. At 1:58 , the entire map zooms out and fades into blackness as the camera pans out of Lord X's eyes. This is because his eyes are a gate to hell. The map is now just pure darkness as you're in first person mode facing off against him. Then at 2:17 , the camera then zooms back into his eyes and you return back to the previous map running with Majin with Lord X in the air flying singing with Majin. At 2:37 , everything goes black as you can hear tail doll's voice but only see his glowing gem in his sprites and your notes fade out when they almost reach the top but it lights up for a split second when you hit the notes. At 2:57 , you hear the light switch sound effect as you can see his full sprite as you're in first person again with the white and red checkered floor being the background. Your notes become clear as well. At 3:16 , Your screen fills with red static. As it clears, you are now in the Prey map with everything 2d instead of pixelated. You are running away from Furnace as fast as you can as Starved eggman slowly flies beside you watching as his stomach rumbles. During 3:56 , You come to a full stop to running as you enter a new zone as there's a hedghehog in front of you. You begin singing with it as well. Then 4:15 comes around as you jump and spindash backwards a few feet as the creature becomes massive and aggressive. At 4:35 , your screen is filled with a zoomed in picture of Sunky. As it fades quickly, you are now at the disco place singing with Sunky. At 5:14 , You are teleported to Fleetway's location as he keeps trying to fry you with his lasers. At 5:54 , You turn into super Bf as soon as Xeno's last section begins as you are brought to the Final Escape map but you're flying away from Xeno instead of running and the song ends with Bf shooting a laser at Xeno then flying away as everything slowly falls and fades to a black screen. I literally imagine this every single time I listen to this song and want to see my idea in action so bad but I know that it's too much to ask for.
Side note: I feel like at least for furnace section bf should be the mobian bf that we play as in the encore songs ( honestly this does feel like an encore final escape) as starved doesn’t eat humans and is actually pretty friendly with them.
This really fells like the end of the mod and bf is trynna leave but xeno and everyone else is trynna stop bf you did a rlly good job on making it seem like a real end to the mod unlike what we got

Dude as a sendoff this is AMAZING, every section properly fits the theme and vibe of each character's song when they first hop in, and then the cut to the Final escape instrumental is sick! Even using cut characters too! Amazin!
With the official one out, I gotta say this holds up as one of the best fan made Final Escapes.

This needs WAY more attention! Better than most Final Escape versions out there! I like how it has its own melody from the instrumental (which most other ones follow the inst) and how it uses more characters like in triple trouble!

The beginning sounds jazzy sorta, it has a lot of characters, and feels like a good sendoff. Everybody has sorta their own beat and not really any repeating. And it’s just awesome.

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to hear this amazing version of the song. It feels like the best version possible. People have been putting their ideas so now I’m throwing my thoughts in the ring. So to begin it could either have the intro the current version final escape has with the title screen glitch out and xeno doing the bit before the running. Then it transitions to the main running portion. And maybe each character can have a mechanic involving the spacebar, for xeno being the hand like in the current version. After that verse, I imagine bf was losing ground but as xeno was getting ready to grab him, a ring opens up and Majin runs out, and grabs bf and they keep running with Majin carrying bf. Then lord X either is sent out by Xeno or is simply there of his own accord, but he tries to stop bf by knocking Majin down. Their verse plays out and lord x launches at Majin, knocking them both down and bf into the air where he grabs onto the tails doll who is just flying by. That’s when furnace appears and could either start throwing fireballs or shooting blasts at the tails doll to knock bf down. Then as their verse finishes up, xeno’s claws swipe through the air and demolish furnace and shred the tails doll to pieces, causing bf to fall where he lands on one of the green hills portions, where he keeps running and finds hog, who is running by his side. Then hog transforms into scorched which causes him to fall behind a bit before he begins charging bf. But then he leaps and bf stops running as they reach the end of the green hills section, causing scorched to go leaping off the edge. Then either bf finds sunky sitting there eating cereal, and as his verse closes bf picks sunky up and fleetway appears. His verse passes and bf throws sunky to fleetway as xeno catches up finally, fleetway flies away and boyfriend’s only option is to jump down. Now bf’s in free fall and the other characters can be falling around them or it could just be xeno and bf going for the final stretch. For the ending it could either be there’s a ring that bf falls through that is the exit, or bf slides onto a ribbon, setting him upright and the camera angle changes to show the edge of a screen where bf leaps out at the end and the game shuts off behind him

Fleetway coming in at the final slot appearance is something. Majin Sonic second is amazing, followed by Lord X.
This is a masterpiece, I would never have thought about final escape being about escaping from everyone you have fought. Therefore this is my favorite iteration of final escape and gets a like.

This has got to be the greatest version of Final Escape yet. I love how you included characters throughout the mod to join in. The fact that Majin and Sunky are here gives me the idea that they give Boyfriend some aid in this song, judging by a reply someone made to my comment. Also, I like how you didn't let much verses repeat unlike other versions. Repetitive things can get annoying, and creating new verses was a great idea. Truly an epic recreation. Vs Sonic.EXE may be dead, but it will forever live in our hearts.

@@xxyoshi12xx6 I think Sunky fits in one sense. I see him as kind of a rest mark for BF, a friend who's giving him the motivation to keep going as he's reaching the final stretch of his journey and provide a wonderful snack of Milk and Cereal.

This is insanely good, with some of the characters appearing like Majin, Lord X, etc. I’m glad to say that this song does feel like a Final Escape.

I love the idea of everyone chasing BF, but every one comes to halt when Sunny shows up.
I love it for a long time I listened to it is my favorite mix :) I don't know why I don't comment before
something i like to imagine as every character apears is that BF is going through warp rings and is continuing to run away from the exes. at the beginning its the final escape moving on to Majin where BF is running through the Majin forest and ends up to Lord X's burning hell scape that is Angel Island where Majin shows up through another warp ring. BF escapes Majin and Lord X and ends up in Sonic R where he's running away Tails Doll in Resort Island. then BF warps to Bad Future Stardust Speedway where Furnace is flying after BF. BF enters HOG's realm which (in my head) is a darkened out Green Hill Zone then warps to Sunky's realm. BF jumps through another warp ring where he hopes its his last warp where he encounters Fleetway which he then goes through his final warp ring and ends his long battle with Xeno in the Final Escape area
I like to imagine when his part starts, Majin runs in and grabs Boyfriend's hand to help him run faster. And when Sunky appearears he throws Scorched (I think that's his name) to the side and helps them out. Since Majin & Sunky are good and not on the EXEs side.
Furnace would also help Boyfriend more than anything. Starved isn't a cannibal, so he doesn't care about him, and Furnace is programmed to hunt Sonic. Now what would he be surrounded by right now...?

I commented about this on someone else's video (I think CommunityGames?) On Final Escape, and I said that the thing to make the song better would be to have everybody else from the mod show up!!
Though I DID say things about *some* characters being there to HELP Boyfriend (i.e. Majin), this concept of it works just as well! I can easily see some of the added characters being there to say *farewell* to Boyfriend instead of stop him, and the entire song is just amazing!!
Also just now noticing, but if Fleetway's Icon had been on the bottom, and everyone else was spread horizontally a bit more, the arrangement of everyone's Icons would've looked like a diamond! (Chaos Emerald, maybe?..)

If a mod ever comes out of this, here's some ideas that came to my mind.
First, the song starts out with Sonic EXE chasing you through green hill and stays like that the whole section.
Then at 1:18 , EXE falls behind and you run into a forest where Majin is also running beside you.
At 1:58 , the entire map zooms out and fades into blackness as the camera pans out of Lord X's eyes. This is because his eyes are a gate to hell. The map is now just pure darkness as you're in first person mode facing off against him. Then at 2:17 , the camera then zooms back into his eyes and you return back to the previous map running with Majin with Lord X in the air flying singing with Majin.
At 2:37 , everything goes black as you can hear tail doll's voice but only see his glowing gem in his sprites and your notes fade out when they almost reach the top but it lights up for a split second when you hit the notes.
At 2:57 , you hear the light switch sound effect as you can see his full sprite as you're in first person again with the white and red checkered floor being the background. Your notes become clear as well.
At 3:16 , Your screen fills with red static. As it clears, you are now in the Prey map with everything 2d instead of pixelated. You are running away from Furnace as fast as you can as Starved eggman slowly flies beside you watching as his stomach rumbles.
During 3:56 , You come to a full stop to running as you enter a new zone as there's a hedghehog in front of you. You begin singing with it as well. Then 4:15 comes around as you jump and spindash backwards a few feet as the creature becomes massive and aggressive.
At 4:35 , your screen is filled with a zoomed in picture of Sunky. As it fades quickly, you are now at the disco place singing with Sunky.
At 5:14 , You are teleported to Fleetway's location as he keeps trying to fry you with his lasers.
At 5:54 , You turn into super Bf as soon as Xeno's last section begins as you are brought to the Final Escape map but you're flying away from Xeno instead of running and the song ends with Bf shooting a laser at Xeno then flying away as everything slowly falls and fades to a black screen.
I literally imagine this every single time I listen to this song and want to see my idea in action so bad but I know that it's too much to ask for.
Side note: I feel like at least for furnace section bf should be the mobian bf that we play as in the encore songs ( honestly this does feel like an encore final escape) as starved doesn’t eat humans and is actually pretty friendly with them.
This really fells like the end of the mod and bf is trynna leave but xeno and everyone else is trynna stop bf you did a rlly good job on making it seem like a real end to the mod unlike what we got
