There's clearly a deck gun on that engine company - why not use it. It has the angle on this fire that the aerial ladder and later firefighters on the low roof just can't get.
These kind of things happen when the rents are raised to unreasonable levels. I would not be surprised if this is the case. It all just seems related to the high crime rates throughout the country. I am assuming that this situation was crime related. Either way inflation has left people feeling mistreated and alot have been acting out criminally and violently. As you already know we are all feeling the effects of the pandemic still. I believe that it is going to get better.
That makes a lot of sense rent goes up so destroy everyone in the buildings life burning 🔥 everything the own . Brilliant 👏 👏 👏 👏 what a great place to live .
Maybe the rising cost of renting cigarettes and candles caused the tenants to buy their own cheaply made cigarets and candles. It's a very dangerous trend around here.
I have been there, having a 3 alarm fire nextdoor to my apartment in SF back in the 90s. My heart goes out to the tenants.
Sad I hope no one was hurt

Smh wow...those poor folks.
My prayers go out.
You can see how tightly packed together these buildings on hills are...supposedly better for withstanding earthquakes but not for resisting fires.

Firefighters 👍
Fire fighters with the hose line on the roof did a great job but I'm curious why wasn't an aerial ladder with nozzle utilized??

is everyone ok. are the firemen ok what started the fire.
One bad thing about appointment condos townhouse.
Makes me nervous watching those guys at edge of roof! with all the equipment too.

All those old buildings are fire traps.
A fireman on the roof without an air pack? Who is this superman or woman? Needs more training along with his supervisor.

Rent caused the fire?
Ironically. Burning this building down will only cause rent to go up even more. 30ish units now uninhabitable and off the housing market.
