Hey Dusty, I've moaned and groaned about some things over the years, but less and less as you've grown in this business. But you deserve kudos for how you've put your experience into practice. I've watched your channel from almost the beginning, and the way you've learned to handle your bison herd now is impressive. Congratulations! 👍👍👍👍👍
Dusty, you sure have streamlined the process of working your bison compared to five years ago! It appears the bison and you are not as nearly stressed out as once was. Congratulations everyone including the bison were not injured!🎉
Oh man when your boot got stuck - I couldn't help from not laughing. It just brought back memories from a similar thing that happened to me years ago. (Boot stuck and almost did not recovery it.) Great setup. I started watching the year that Big Joe was first ran through the shoot. I was sitting on pins and needles the whole time. What improvements you have made to make it safer for everyone. He is such a beautiful creature. His exit - after he was out, he was in no hurry. I have to say I got a little worried about the little reddog for awhile. The way the bison hop - made my day seeing that. Such characters! You, Marissa, and all those helping out are doing amazing work with those amazing bison! Thank you for sharing!
Funny story, my dogs frisbee went in our pond, it’s really low, I thought I could step down on side and with a stick drag it in. Well…I stepped in to far and sunk like that and I had my new muck boots on and I had to drop in the muck on my butt so I wouldn’t loose my new boot. Lol my other dog thought he was helping and jumped on me. I was one mucky mess from front to back. I retrieved my boot but I stunk from the wet silt I was stuck in. No body got to play or walk, mission retreat, 😂
No big deal for Big Joe, takes it in stride. Good to see his weight gain. Love his hay hats. Well done CTB collective crew. Barn yard stories ”did you see rancher Dusty loose his boot today” 🐴🐓🦃🐕😄
I remember how it took three attempts to work him the first time, since he'd wasn't worked in his previous home. He's come a long way since the first time.
I'm so impressed with the growth of the herd over the years and all the well-planned changes to your ranch. A result of a dream, patience, a plan, and determination. I have learned so much. Pat yourself on the back, no, hug yourself for all your accomplishments and celebrate. Sincerely, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.
Mud, you've got to love it. One year I was up at the 777 in the winter, and Moritz an I went out to look over the Bison and my boots got so caked with that heavy mud they get up there in the winter and it thought I had totally wrecked my boots. It was terrible, but to look out at the animals there was something you don't ever forget.
Hey, as a kid, that was my job too. But I did my dad's, poppa's, and uncle's also..would take them off then clean them! I loved every minute of it! ❤🫶🙏
What changes since the first time you did this! Congrats on Big Joe gaining 200 lbs. Great to see the humans safer and the bison with as little stress as possible. Good job , Dusty and Marissa. And thanks to the helpers. .
I think that it's great how you have gotten better through the years of running the bison through the squeeze shoot. The people that help should also be very proud of themselves for the team work and keeping the bison safe and calmish. Well done to all of you.
I live only a couple of miles from the National Bison Range in Montana, now owned by the Tribes, and I've gone many times to watch the roundup. Those animals are huge, powerful and beautiful. When they hit the fences, the entire platforms that we watch them from shakes. Just be careful out there.
Love this time of year when you folks come together working the Bison. I learn so much. Each year is getting better with the process. Congratulations 🎊. I am curious how much Blackjack weighed?
You are working like a well-oiled machine.Really enjoy your videos. Those guys are big and dangerous and you do a fantastic job. Have great respect for you and your crew and especially your wife.
From where I sit, looks like it went smoother than past workings...and you got the bad luck dispensed with early. You'll get it clean! Keep on bison ranching.
Getting your system fine tuned quite a bit there, Dusty. Nice to see Big Joe healthy and stackin' on the weight like that. God bless you folks in your efforts.
Congratulations on a job well done!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all the families who helped in this work of love for the bison!! May God bless all of you!!
The bison truly are magnificent and beautiful. The care you show to each of your animals is amazing. The behind the scenes help as you work the bison probably the most important part. Thanks again for taking us along for the ride.
That seemed to go a heck of a lot easier than it usually does I think the option of only sorting off a few to put in the straight at the same time works out a little bit better
Y'all. Your family is the BEST!!! Packing merch @ Arms Family Homestead & sortin Bison @ Cross Timbers. Gettin it DONE!!! Your Momma is a rock star!! Mr. Kevin too. :)Absolutely LOVE both Your channels. I used to get Bison meat thru a nutrition group I was in up in IL. Just got my package delivered in Paradise in NW FL from AFH, CTB Jerky is my next Christmas order!! Thanks for all y'all do!! Daniel, dancing in the fast forward video, had me giggling. :) love y'all!!! Thankful for a y'all!!! :)
I thought that young bull was going to test you there for a second. I guess he changed his mind. There always seems to be a job to do on a ranch. I'm wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving Frosty from San Diego California 💜
Great job this year!!!! (Every year!). Love watching you work the bison and it went pretty smooth! Every year it gets better. Did The Princess, Miss Eleanor, go theough too? Didn't see her highlighted.
Hello Dusty and Marisa It’s always great to see the changes that you make towards even safer working of the bison. Big Joe looks so good. The herd is growing! Thanks for sharing this journey. Blessings ❤ ~Linda
Love watching this channel and the bison. Operation seemed really smooth this time. I think you’ve found the right layout. Hope you (Dusty, Marissa, and Brooks) have a great Thanksgiving along with your family.
I hope that the bison (23.26) that got trampled, is okay. False alarm, it got up at ( 23.27, I hadn't watched this far yet). My bad. Tell Doc that it was good to see him, we missed seeing his grandson working the hydraulic system. He's a good kid. Also, have greatly missed seeing Cole Meger's smiling face. He's funny without even trying. And looking at Marissa, I know Brooke's gorgeous hair came from her. When you rounded up the Big Joe herd with her, I couldn't get over how long it is. It really grew fast, just like Brookes. 😊 Also, it was nice seeing the usual suspects. 😆 Marshall, Jerry, the always reliable Kevin, Donna, and persons unknown or unseen. Mr Big Joe says," This is set up all wrong. The run is supposed to start over there, and we empty into this pasture over here. You're trying to baffle us with bison bullsh*t" 😂 Wondering if some of the heifers will go to Mr Dunbar's herd. Great work today. You made it look easy.
I swear y'all this never gets old. I love watching y'all work the Bison . 🦬 Big Joe is definitely the same'ol stud muffin he's always been. 😂 God Bless 💯🙏❤🇺🇸
Well I can say this was the least stressful working for me to watch. Looked like everything went smooth. The first few gave me so much anxiety worried about all of you but not this time. ❤ yall
Oh Dusty. When you got stuck in the muck made me remember when I was 13 had to go out barn yard gate to the pasture that was forever deep muck. Well i got stuck and could not get out without loosing both boots. Dad had to come and carry me out and get my boots. Needless to say he was not happy and never sent me out that way ever again😂
What an amazing team you had together. Loves this video, not that I don't love the other videos. Keep your animals healthy. Awesome rest of the week fille with God's unconditional Love and Blessings. From South Africa

LOL you just reminded me of when we went to my grandparents farm in Kansas for Thanksgiving and my sister just stuck in the mud on the way to the barn. They carried her back to the house and dug her boots out, LOL Thank you! That's a good memory! Y'all like white trucks or what? Also, did you use the hammer?
I had a friend do that while out 4 wheeling but she could not get her foot out. She didn't come back before dark so some of her friends had to go out looking for her. Thank God they found her because it got below freezing that night.
That was soooo awesome! Brilliant job you all! Thanks for sharing... sorry about the muddy boot..LOL Love from Rhode Island! Would love to see your ranch in person...but this is the next best thing :-)
Working these beasts is a fascinating process. It looks like they’re used to people enough to remain MOSTLY calm. But it still looks like a long hard day of constant work for a lot of people!
Good job on working the herd at the Ponderosa. If you didn't get mud on your sock when your boot stuck in the mud, you did really well. It wouldn't go so smoothly without all your helpers.

Working the Bison, beautiful. Boot stuck in the mud; Priceless! Sorry Dusty, I giggled! 😆😆😆
The yearling bulls were easy on you cuz they felt bad about your stuck boot! So thoughtful of them.
Haha
Your bison have such character........they make me giggle..hippity hop

I noticed all the vehicles were white. Maybe that's the color they buy in that part of the country.
Big Joe and his hay hat!😂
Superb job, one & ALL!!! Glad to see Big Joe's wt has increased! Thankful for the drone footage, it all really does come together! Amen !

Ok, there must be a code ordinance with bison ranching duties and white vehicles, eh?? 😂😂
