I absolutely loved this video......I love the ocean and probably will never get to snorkel, so this was so awesome to watch and learn! Thank you. Everything was beautiful and you are a great photographer! 😄💙🐬
As a scuba diver, goliath groupers can absolutely be dangerous. Their tail when they move fast or are spooked can knock your reg and mask right off without even touching you. Beautiful creatures but best to keep a reasonable distance. Great commentary as always :)
I’ve also been chased multiple times off reefs by moray eels. Known for taking fingers and chunks out of divers. Definitely not something you want to be holding your hand up to.
@@2009yz85racer you're absolutely right.. had a friend get a nasty bite from one while lobster diving in the keys. Clean cut straight down the middle of nearly the entire pointer finger and needed quite a few stitches if I recall correctly.
The water is so clear that it doesn't even look like you are underwater. The eels are surprisingly beautiful. The tour and info about the different fish was fun and informative, thank you and Gabby too.
Your video diving showing creatures is just awesome. You must have a gentle aura about you to allow creatures to let you get that close for them shots.
Goliath groupers are one of my favorite fish. They are the epitome of "gentle giant". I fell in love with them at the Texas State Aquarium. Several years ago they had several in a huge tank with sand tiger sharks, barracuda and various less intimidating fish. The biggest grouper would do rounds of the tank and it seemed like when small children got close to the glass, the grouper would come up close and check them out right at their eye level. Sometimes he’d swim past slowly then make a quick circle around and do it again. Other times he’d approach dead on watching the kid the whole time. And other times, if the kid was fairly still, he’d float in front of them as long as he could. I don’t know what was going on in his fishy brain, but he seemed fascinated by small children. I was so sad when that grouper died. But even watching the divers with the other groupers, it was obvious how gentle they were, even at feeding time.
Lol gentle my ass you are delusional. I saw one drag a 200 lb man around for over 20 minutes. We thought she was going to drown him, his whole arm up to his elbow was mangled. I didn't live there but the friend I was diving with said it had to be amputated. That fish twisted his arm so many times that it was shattering bone.
This was absolutely amazing, informative and immersive. Thank you for taking us along with you guys on this dive. Its the closest ive ever been to expierencing that.
I loved this esp. since the underwater is another universe of so many species. The narration and the clarity was awesome. :) thanks for taking us on your quick dive down! Would love to see more future content like this.
That was great! A place where you can just walk out into the ocean, snorkel and see so much wildlife! Thanks for sharing this, I wouldn't have thought about sea creatures being so accessable.
Thank you for taking me where I can never go. It was so beautiful. Q: do you have a site where you upload your pictures? Love to see them separately. 🤩🐟🐠🐡🐙
@@FloridasWildest thank you not familiar with it. Is there a shortcut you can put here so I can just click on it? You are so kind to unswer so quick. I do apprecite it. Big thank you from Australia 9.45am. 🤩
Love diving and snorkeling there now that we live in WPB...you have shown me a few new species i need to look out for on the next dive ! thanks.... Vince
I truly enjoy all your videos but this one ranks right at the top with all the different critters and just the overall beauty of being underwater.......look forward to the next one. Take care!!
Yes! I was hoping you would come across an octopus and you did!! I've never been snorkeling before but you guys have totally inspired me to do it one day. I'm amazed at all the different sea creatures you managed to see in this one area, and it makes me happy to see the ecosystem thriving there, despite the many challenges. Keep up the great work educating people, and thank you both for sharing your journeys with us! ❤
That was awesome! So many different creatures. The spotted moray eel was so cool. The octopus was adorable. Gabby has quite the eye for camouflaged creatures.
I subscribed today. Love your videos. I have lived in here in Palm Beach County for 14 years now and have not been to the beach or in the ocean one time. Sadly, I'm in my late 60's so I missed the boat. I was stationed in Key West, Hawaii, the Philippines, St Thomas, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and many other places throughout the world and did swim and snorkel in of those places.
Your video is amazing! I absolutely loved it, best snorkel video I have ever seen! I am planning to snorkel here this July and you got me so excited! Could I ask though, do you suggest having a diving flag here?
The cut away edit from the moment you said “We saw something we’ve never seen before at this sight” was perhaps a bit of a Froidian slip and quite humorous whether it was intentional or not 😝Seriously though, a nice video. Beautiful location. Glad the algorithm brought me to it
I'll take that Stone Crab......since you're not using it. Fun video. Those Morays seem to be very intelligent and can even form friendships with people. I've watched examples of this and it's quite amazing. I think it might be nice to have a Moray friend.
the pictures turned out gorgeous! also, near the beginning I think you were making noises to call Gabi(?) which is really recognisable! I'm a scuba diver too (sadly on haitus though) and because you always see people talk/explain during underwater videos i sometimes forget all we say underwater is just "Hrm!" Love how you guys are freediving! I can imagine you'll be super out of breath after the dive but I also know freediving is more peaceful for the fish around, yet I'll stick to my oxygen tank I think! All around amazing video, i really loved the lil dive video since the water life is my favourite
Been diving for 2.5 years in all cold water. Westcoast (Ca.). So many times I catch myself daydreaming about moving to FL. because I love to dive so much.
Very interesting video! I’ve never even heard of a sharp tail eel before! And the long spine sea urchin is a very cool creature, also very lucky to see a Goliath! subscribed!
I was diving in Cozumel in the late 90s and the guides told everyone NOT to feed the fish. Of course some old lady didn’t listen. She brought a ziplock bag of bread down. She was feeding little colorful reef fish when all of a sudden a Goliath grouper decided the bread was his. He was in the process of wrestling the bread away from the lady who didn’t want to just let it go when the dive guide swam over like a little Mayan torpedo and started jabbing the grouper. One of my more memorable dives to say the least.
Penticamp is where I love to dive. Saw my first Goliath Grouper there. Scared the crap out of me! But my favorite place to dive is in the Puget Sound. If you want to see real Octopus go there. But your going to want a dry suit and bright lights. But it is well worth it!!!
What a beautiful place to dive. The water was so clear. I enjoyed seeing all the undersea creatures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for helping with keeping these groupers around 🤘
Felt like I was in a submarine as the instructor was taking us on a tour guide and explaining to everyone where to look.
Yes it was great!
Right I felt like I was on a 5th grade school trip!
Ha ya

Of course that one was a bit deserved, reaching into holes hoping to fish out a lobster. Can't really blame the eel at all
Great video, very enjoyable. All the best from Ireland 👍👍🥰☘️🇨🇮
