Jerry played a eccentric designer Lu Xing Chen in Count Your Lucky Stars. He was quite a character and very believable falling in love with his young intern. He played a blind man in Because not Love and a crippled pianist in Starlit. While each movie he had a love interest the character's challenges and roles are different. He played an overworked doctor in The Hospital who is caught in the middle of politics and has his dream taken from him and given a direction in life as the director chief surgeon and married off to the higher ups daughter. His dream girl discovers this was the path planned for him and not wanting to get in his way for a future she felt or he deserved she leaves him breaking his heart and eventually leaving him to this planned direction.
