Great recap. Awesome demo. Sad for Jake getting medically pulled. Old Fart, LOL It's just a number my friend. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and viewpoints.
I've dubbed Dub the Bill Murray of Bushcraft. He talks like Murray, kinda looks like him, and jokes like him, too. You can really pick up on it from his RUclips channel. Great review, Alan. Thanks!
Your recaps are a really nice addition to the Alone show viewer experience, answering a few questions I have & pointing out things I didn't focus enough on while watching the episode. Thanks Alan, another great vlog. Cheers. Pat~ Yukon, Canada
Nice recap tenta! I believe in timber I think he's going to fight off the sickness and keep grinding! Pushing forward! I feel bad about everybody about the forest fires and I hope all the teachers towards Edgewater and canal Flatts it's okay I'm looking forward to next week's episode of alone!
I sometimes look at the discussion of the show on Reddit-an online place with pros and cons for sure, but the Alone episode discussions are sometimes really interesting, with some of the competitors giving insight into what happened. Jake posted and shared that he was drinking a gallon a day of spring water as he had dug a well and the water quality was great. This did not get shown. He thought the challenge was that he went without food in the beginning, then introduced too much fiber and food quickly, so his system had trouble “waking up.” The info you shared on water is very interesting though! It must be so challenging and often tempting just not to go through all that if you are tired, hungry etc. -And: 52 is so young, heh! Congratulations again!
@@alantenta9825Very much! Congrats on your Season 10 record. That was a good trivia question. Curious - Mikey Helton said that someone from production would have to come tag the moose at some point; do you think that Timber could have got sick from that person coming out to tag the moose?
Thanks for the recap and insights.👌 Jake said that he ate lots of greens. Fiber can definitely contribute to constipation. Sufficient fat can keep you regular. You said that you were fine eating fish. I suspect the fish was high in fat? I don’t eat fiber, but eat plenty of fat. That works for me.
You could tell how hard Timber worked even though they couldn't show it, it was written all over his face. Guy went from looking normal to Skeletor in 4 days. Also, felt bad for Dub but happy for the pike. That fish said not today!
Thanks Alan! We love your wife! Two questions - do you think someone should bring a water container as an item? Dehydration causes a lot of problems! And was your first shower after you won just the best shower of your life?
Awesome! I don’t think so because you sacrifice an item that in my opinion is more important than a water bottle. Yes, first shower was epic….really epic. You should have seen the dirt going down the drain!
I can’t remember if you answered this but if there were three people left and they all were going to be medically pulled would the last person checked win? Or is there a method to the order of med checks
Seems to me that if anybody is going to do fishing with a line and hook, should also make themselves a landing net. This show and others have shown many a meal swimming away that would most probably not have gotten away if one utilized a landing net. Especially when one's survival is at stake.
@@alantenta9825 You would know better than I, but even cordage made out of other material could be utilized to make a landing net. We are talking about having missed meals here. Meals that could help one stay out there longer. Seems to me that in a cost/benefit analysis, the cost is worth it for the potential benefit. Hate to see anybody lose a fish after the fish is already caught. Thank you for the updates as well.
Dear Charles, I thought the same as you. Even if they the contestants don't have (or make) enough cordage they could try making a "snowshoe"/"lacrosse stick" type scoop from willow or similar thin branches to help land their catches.
@@clivedunning4317 Seems like a good idea to me, especially in a survival situation. Consider also, even with the 'snowshoe'/'lacrosse stick' idea, one could possibly utilize that item to help hold some fish in a smoker too. Catch and Cook. Multi-use item.
Is the gillnet size restriction local regulations or Alone's rule? Can people make more than one gillnet? And I'm suprised no one hasn't walked out and put their net right in the middle of the river.
so the vitamin C topic is misleading.. the early explorers also didnt have fresh meat ... there are 1000s of people today who eat only meat for years and years no scurvy..#dranthonychaffee #carnivore
I look forward to watching your recap every week
Awesome! Thanks for watching!

Totally! I hope he gets some more fish! And keeps ‘em!
Thanks for your recaps! I don't have access to the Alone 11 show, but try to follow along through the recaps.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!😊The Yukon rocks!
@@alantenta9825 😅 Thank you! A Yukoner for over 30 yrs (a bit biased) but yeah, I gotta agree it's an awesome place to call home.
Thanks for the recap , it seems like this time people are tapping or being pulled quicker than the past shows .
It seems that way, but id need to check the stats.

Reddit is so full of negative comments & misinformation it's scary
I check out the posts there as well from time to time. That is interesting about Jake and his well; thank you for your comments!
Yay! I've been looking forward to this video!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Have you ever discussed what clothing you are allowed to bring? And what is the gear of choice for participants?
Yes, I have a video on my channel covering that exact topic. Here is the link. ruclips.net/video/dgW8Pkik_Qg/видео.htmlsi=NVNHnvrsZz37G73i

I’m not sure how they would do that…I’m sure production has a fair solution to this question.

I don’t disagree, but paracord may be limited once you make a gill net.

Not much of William from Labrador this show, bet he goes a long way. 😊
He could be a sleeper….

Not sure about the restrictions. I was wondering the same thing about the gill net sets.
On Alone-Can you supplement your metal hooks with gorge hooks made from bone, wood or tree needles?
Yes you can. Sarah made gorge hooks in a previous episode this season.
@@alantenta9825 Must of missed it. All participants should be using gorge hooks with fine snare wire leaders for those toothy pikes.
