  • I need more firewood for next season so I’m using a firewood log splitter that cuts the wood to the right length and splits it at the same time. This one is made in Mora Sweden and works great. The elevator that I use to transport the split wood is not made in Sweden and it doesn’t work that great...In part 2 of this video I use a John Deere 3050 tractor to transport the firewood to my place.

That Ranger is really quiet, almost thought it was an electric utv.
Great to use a wood cutting machine that like, make the work so much faster and easier.

It is an Electric UTV! My friend Håkan has a lot of electric machines, UTV, car (BMW i3), chainsaw, brush cutter. He is trying to buy an electric articulated loader next but it is super expensive. He also has electric solar panels on his barn so he can produce a lot of electricity to himself.

@@NilsKall That is really cool that he have so many electric vehicles. Is the UTV stock as electric or homemade? I guess homemade.
You could make a video about it, because it looks so cool to have an electric utv (or generally electric vehicles).

@@ArcticExploring is not homemade (but it does feel a bit homemade 😂😂😂) it’s a Polaris Ranger EV.

I don’t know if there is general interest in it but I could perhaps do a short video of it.

@@NilsKall Aha I didn't know Polaris made them, never heard about it before. Hm all tools related videos gives views, so I think it would bring in some views if you talked a little about it.

Hej.

I love watching machines work. I have never seen a wood splitter like that before, it is genius. Is that wood ready to burn or does it need to season for a few months and dry out. It looked pretty dry already. Looking forward to part 2.

Its really great! I tried to find the English name for this kind of machine but I could not find anything like it in the US. We call it a wood scissor here. The wood needs to be dried this spring and summer and hopefully it wil be ready to burn this winter. Part 2 will be filmed this afternoon and probably posted during the week.

@@NilsKallwe’d call it a shear. The Chomper firewood processor used a similar automated set up.
