Yeah and that's the part I think this world is really stupid for. There are so many people that not in love but together. But in the same time there are many people that in love but not together.

The pain of walking away from your soulmate is unbearable, they caption it perfectly with Ragnar and Legartha, the only way I can describe it in words is a part of you dies forever and it doesn't come back you walk around in a fog forever you pretend to be happy yet you are always connected to the person. I have lost both parents young and I can honestly say that is an easier pain to comprehend. Love is unforgiving treat eachother well. At least I know I'm just destined to wander the earth aimlessly knowing whatever accomplishments I achieve will be unfulfilling for I'm not with my other half to complete it.

I hoped the same but actually I am relieved that they did not get back together. Lagertha knew that she couldn't go back to him during this life and she didn't want to. They were destined to be together yes, but after his betrayal he himself was broken. He wasn't the same man anymore and neither was she. The love never changed but they did and they needed to die to be together because in death they were free to be their old selves again.
Ragnar knew how proud Lagertha was. That's why she left him in the first place. He knew that she couldn't take him back in this lifetime no matter how much they loved eachother. He broke it and she left. He knew there was no going back no matter how hard he fought.
That's why he didn't. Instead he made sure she never forgot what she is and means to him and how much he wishes to go back and that he loves her. That was he ensured they get a second chance in valhalla when they're both free to be themselves again

It was the best and saddest love story I have seen in a long time. Unconditional love is rarely seen. If you love a person you love everything about them the good and the bad. That is what you see with Ragnar and Lagertha. In my humble opinion.
