Thank you very much for the video. I learned more but I wish to ask why was the adjusting entries not made initially and just posted at once with the other journals to the ledger
And today's world where we use accounting software, as soon as we make the entry, the result is posted to the ledger. Typically an academic accounting, we want to keep things organized, so we encourage learners to first record the adjusting entry, and then post it.
hey.. I really love your work. but may i ask you a question? For the Debit and Credit in Balance column, on the Ledger, should we put the balance in the normal balance of each account? like for example, the cash normal balance is debit, right, and you put all the cash transaction into debit column even if the transaction was in credit side.
Yes, for almost all accounts the balance will go in the normal balance column. For cash, we will never have a credit balance. There are a few exceptions, however. At some point in your accounting education, you will learn about allowance for doubtful accounts. This account has a normal credit balance, but it is completely normal if it balance goes on to the debit side. However, for the majority of accounts, like you said, the balance will go on the normal balance side.
At this point, I need to learn how to think computerized accounting instead of paper format. A side note, if only the real world (at the job) was as simple as this! HaHa!
You are a wonderful teacher! Two thumbs way up!
thankyou so much!🤍
Thank you, you are amazing!
Thank you, Ma'am 😊
