thank you very much!! I appreciate you taking the time to help people out. It's a bit overwhelming when it's your first industrial machine. I've been a bit stressed trying to figure everything out. The silver foot lifter you mentioned doesn't seem to be working on my machine. The screw is tight but the silver lifter is very loose and doesn't lift the foot at all. Can you help me with that?? Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
All I can think of, is the screw slipped out of the spot it needed to go so the inside mechanism isn’t engaging correctly. If you open up the side of your machine you can see it. It kinda looks like the letter D. It should be facing with the flat side up when at rest. If not, try to unscrew the tiny screw on the lever and get the D to face that way. I assume if it’s in another way, it won’t engage. The mechanical parts of the machine seem somewhat simple so just dive in and poke around to figure things out. Download a parts list and manual and that should help!
@@CRGL1 Thank you for responding so quickly. My husband came home from work and actually figured out what was wrong. The shaft that the silver "handle" goes on wasn't out far enough. Once he pulled it out and put the lever back on it works fine. Where do you purchase the bobbins for this machine??
@@debbielittle6956 I get them from Goldstar Tool. Part # B9117201000. They come in silver and black. They send random color. Juki Junkies has them as well but the price is much higher. I’m glad your machine is fixed!
Is the only difference between juki1181n and this machine the auto thread cutter and needle down? Are direct drive motors easily replaced like external servo motors if need be?
Hi! This machine has the same footprint as the 1181. All of 1181 feet fit on this model, same amount of sewing space and the like. However, bobbin is configured like the 1541, so larger bobbin style. Unlike the 1181, this model is made to be used for leather. I assume that the direct drive system makes features such as thread cutter, needle up/down and auto backstitch possible. I would imagine that when something in the direct drive fails, it would be much more difficult to repair or replace since it is integrated into the machine. I made the decision to get this model because it was similar to the 1181 with auto features I desired. I had not thought about what to do when something in the direct drive goes kaput. I hope that helps you in some way!
@@CRGL1thank you for the reply. I have been looking at this machine and the 1181n. Those extra features are enticing but I’m going to try and find out more about repairs etc. Lots to think about. 🤔 I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
I bought this same machine from Juki Junkies as well . Partially thanks to her videos. I have had mine for close to a year now. I love this machine. I told my old man. I believe people not being willing to get a direct drive. Would be like your grandparents being unwilling to get a cellphone or something. You either evolve with the industry, or it will pass you by. And let’s face it. Most people would have to find a Juki supplier to fix your industrial if something went wrong. I have zero regrets in getting this machine.🎉
@@kivamahatma9817good to know because I decided on this model too. I pick it up next Friday. Super excited to get it. I did more research and the direct drive motors have a great reputation and would not be more costly to repair or replace. 😍
Hey what’s up. How has sewing been. Thanks for your videos for everyone else. I need to make some videos of my own.
