現在新加坡学生的压力和我30多年前的情況有所不同. 我知道不少周边的小孩其實學校家庭作業並不太多 , 反而压力是来自家庭.除了科業補习外,有不少家长週末还送小孩去学芭蕾舞蹈, 台拳道, 鋼琴等等 . 另外一般很少提到的是学校科外活动对学生成长的影响.我朋友小孩小时多病内向但学校要求学生必须选一项运动型科外活动, 他随便选了網球.学校也花了不少资源教导他.他现在成了校队, 个性也变得阳光外向了.

我是土生土長本地人，我堂弟今年38岁，侄儿33岁，他们同样也在7与9岁之间，为做作业也常常大哭，不敢睡觉。。其实新加坡家庭学生也有学业压力。。只是我们抗压力比较强。。

中國的教育壓力是地獄難度的，因為人太多了，越來越內卷，而大學畢業生80%不從事本專業工作，填鴨式教育對於統治階層是可以有分流的好處，但是說實話在培育人才是稍微欠缺的，缺乏創新和passion
