I needed this so bad. ive been struggling to make friends and I get bullied a lot. sh is the only thing that really helps me deal with my PTSD and other mental issues on top of the bullying. I'm very ashamed of it and I've had people make fun of me for it. the longest I have ever been clean is 3 months, which I broke a few months ago. i haven't been able to stay clean longer than 4 days since. i wish someone would show me the love and compassion you performed in this video.

I just wanna remind you that - even if some people don't understand how it is and mock you for it - there is no shame in it, and every day or even part of a day without is a victory to be proud of.

I once did self harm. Thankfully, I only did it once and didn'tcut too deep. I had five scars. Now I only have one that is slowly fading. This audio makes me feel seen/heard ❤❤❤❤

@Nikki-Kitten I know 😔 I did it a second too, but I didn't realised that. I scratched the inside of my elbow bloody but thankfully, there were no scars left. I think what helped me work with this and not go this path further was one, my family and two, my books. I write books and I think that is what helped me a lot
This reminds me of how my partner had an interesting experience at a gas station. Basically when my partner was younger they were getting snacks and getting ready to check out. On the other register a woman called my partner over and said “I don’t get why you would do that to yourself or why kids do that ever.” My partner just said it was family issues and left. They then took me with them the next day to get Faygo since a band we listen to loves it, and we were curious. Lo and behold my partner spots the same woman from the day prior. She ended up recognizing my partner She then turned to me and asked if I do the same thing and said I am 1 year clean. I forget the rest but I think we just finished and left it felt pretty awkward in the situation.
@@FireCrackersandDnD I would get if someone tried to be caring. But this, I mean if you simply don't understand a behavior then don't make the person suffer from your lack of knowledge. But please, take seeing it as a reminder that you might wanna learn about it (at a better place, like an appropriate page online). Understanding can be hard, but it should be freaking easy for people to not be an ass hat about it.
