@@LayZeeZeeit’s not like it’s a personal failing. This kind of neighborhood is definitely lower income than average, but there’s plenty of beauty in ugliness.
@@kay-412 I mean there’s all kinds of low income neighborhoods in America. This definitely isn’t the lowest income neighborhood, not by a long shot, just lower than average.
@cat_in_a_fish_bowl yes you see you were born in America but found a beautiful foreign exchange student from deshire Ireland who you couldn't bare to leave when she returned home so you stormed through a busy airport breaking several laws and post 9/11 boarding laws to stop her as she was boarding her plane to confess your love sealing it with a beautiful kiss and swearing to go back with her right before you got tazed in the gut by the tsa.
I’ve always had a love for older homes. They have more character and overall sturdier than new builds. I’ve lived in Phoenix my whole life and there are very little historic homes here since most were demolished by the construction of freeways & Sky Harbor Airport. I’ve always been so fascinated by older homes and my dream is to own one. The most common old homes you’ll find here are from the 1950s.
Nice. I live in Tucson so there are a lot of historic and older housing developments here that thankfully still exist, though a lot were also demolished for freeways and other developments. A lot of my older family members also live in rather old houses, some even dating back to the early 1900’s in the Clifton area, so visiting is always an interesting experience.
For more houses or this type that are more unique, the outskirts of Dayton, Ohio, especially by the interstates, has lots of really old homes that are in a very low income area, lots of unique stuff there from the mid 1800s to mid 1900s, just a good place to look for more homes like these
The only thing I don't like about things like this is that the houses lack an interior and aren't in 1:1 scale. I love the detailing, but I prefer houses you can walk through.
That's near impossible without mods that require hundreds of hours of detailing. Are your walls in your irl house as wide as you are? Didn't think so. It's idiotic to expect a 1:1 interior when it's not able to be done. That's like expecting a 1hp powerwheels to go 200mph. . .
An idea that might work with the scale is to use the attribute scale command, it obviously lets you change your scale which might make you feel more immersed in the builds. Although I would recommend scaling the jump height and reach with it because other wise it can feel a bit weird
I am so glad I found this video, I've never seen you before, and watching your build process just put me in awe the whole way through. This build looks simply spectacular.
I work for a land surveying company, I recommend using your local GIS parcel viewer, sometimes they will provide a rough building sketch to have a reference more to scale
I don't like creating stuff by (mostly) copying off of it, i use just my imagination for Redstone building and house etc. i still do love the idea of building a realistic town with realistic houses. A true piece of work and I've done many amazing things in Minecraft.
The first time I watched this, I couldn't really appreciate it, because I was worried about my dog. she had popped her hind legs out of place and her spine and muscles were all tensed up. Shes doing just fine now, and I can now fully appreciate it.
The house is very uncanny. Like it looks super realistic, but then at the same time you see all the hard edges, especially with the roof and then it just feels off.
hey, real nice build. i'm honestly surprised how this is so accurate. you're really great 👍 i had fun watching this video with my little sister who's obsessed with minecraft building, so thank you :) also side note: your pfp reminds me of myles
I can only imagine two things looking at this: A. How much better it could look with a mod like Chisels and Bits B. How horrible it must look without the resource pack, using combos like gold and purpur. Wish we could have seen that in the video.
A mod that adds in these blocks/items without having to be finicky with datapacks adjusting existing blocks or fighting with item frames would be awesome.
I usually don't like realistic texture packs because I feel it takes away from the games aesthetic, but this one I actually like because it doesn't take away to much it's still very blocky
I looked at the thumbnail and thought you were building a real house to make it look like it was in Minecraft, not the other way around. :O This is awesome! One thing I'd suggest is to have the reference up for the duration of the build. I worked around this by opening another tab of the video to see what you were building off of in google maps. Also, you could try using the Pehkui mod (or whatever similar) to resize the player to the accurate size, if your current modpack/texture/version pack permits that is. :)
I am trying to build my primary school but then I realized like about 100 times that I suck at building and with my memory, still gonna build it though
