@@pindiddle Thanks for info I got a Shimano HG53 9 speed chain last year. However that's before I converted my bike to mid drive motor. Thought Shimano were decent chains. Halfords guy reckoned they were decent. Interested you don't like Shimano. See there's an e9 kmc ebike dedicated chain for £30 as you say. Mind boggles with the choice. Just see when my current chain gives up. Always do chain checking with Parktool and replace at 0.5 stretch.

Not e-bike as these were £30 and being hub drive the chain is not under the same strain as crank. This seemed a good one at £16
