I joined in 2022 for $22. I originally thought I was going to be vendor events but I don't like "selling" so for now I'm my own customer and have to find someone like me who obsessed with Scentsy before I can promote to higher and that's fine. I also just do very basic videos because I have vision problems and can't really get in front of the camera. But I do love to watch your videos.
I loved your long walk into the weeds and hearing your story! I learned more things that make you even more incredible than you already are. It makes total sense that you are a trauma counselor, it totally fits your personality and calming demeanor... it takes a special human to do what you do. I think so many people bash Scentsy and the whole MLM thing. Me of all people would never ever fall into that pushy world, my social battery can be low too (lol, that cracked me up) but it's actually a product that I absolutely love and if that love for something supports special people like you, then I'm all in. We are so much alike!! I’m the same exact way!! I rejoined August in 2023 and I’ve actually made a few sales here and there that were completely random so when it did happen I was so excited! I will always see it as “I sell to myself” but if I ever get those random sales in the future I would be just as happy! ❤❤

I agree, there are lots of opportunities for wax wars in recent launches! I wish I still had time for those - the way I set them up, I had to check in on the scents every couple hours to see changes and it worked back then because it was during the pandemic and I worked from home - but now I’m never home long enough to do consistent check ins! Never say never, if I find a way to work it back in at some point I absolutely will!

Love your story. I was part of an MLM years ago, specifically because I wanted a discount on the products. I ended up leaving eventually because my sponsor hounded me constantly and bombarded me with messages daily!! I wanted nothing to do with it after a few months. She doesn't speak to me anymore, and it's sad because I felt used. She was a former co-worker of mine, and we were friends on Facebook. It's sad how some of these types of businesses can really change a person. I'm glad that you found that right sponsor for what you needed at the time. Some can be very pushy and greedy. I almost bought the consultant kit in December with the warmer....I will likely sign up at some point. 😂 I should because I buy so much wax! 😂😂

I joined for myself. Because of my passion for Scentsy and home fragrance, my business has grown more than I thought. I went to the Scentsy Family reunion last year and I got really excited about taking this to the next step. Then, unfortunately I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer and everything got put on the side burner. I'm now starting to get back into things and am setting goals to grow this even more. I love Scentsy and the Scentsy community. I love your videos.

I joined just for me as I fell in love with scentsy and had been purchasing quite a lot of bars when my consultant said why don’t you join , you will get money back and there’s absolutely no pressure from me . I retired from full time work at 55 and I love scentsy as a hobby .I have also just started experimenting with trying to make my own wax melts ..again just for me and as a hobby. It’s fun trying to find the right blend of oils to use . Love your videos and this one was great to listen to. Thanks Robyn. 😊

I’m in the exact same position as you. I have been thinking about this for a long time. I order a lot of scentsy because I truly love it. I’m so nervous to be a consultant. I don’t like pushing things. I don’t have a ton of friends or family to have any ‘parties’. I will just want to be my own customer. We should do it!!

It can’t hurt, especially if you use and love the products yourself already! None of my friends/colleagues knew I was a consultant for nearly a year! I did tell them eventually and now some of them order from me once in awhile - but it’s always them asking me to borrow the tester bag, or add onto my next order rather than me asking them if they want stuff. They know where to get some Scentsy if they want it! Also, LOVING this little exchange with you and Ms Mandy here - talk about Scentsy Spirit!!🥰💜

However, I hear the likes of you and Lisa Rowberry joined Scentsy with no desire to sell but your customer-base and team grew when you didn’t really want it. But here I am trying so hard and barely get any new customer 2 years in. It’s frustrating LOL Keep doing you, I always look forward to watching your videos. Everyone’s journey is different. And I wouldn’t say I didn’t want it to grow - I just 1000% didn’t expect it to grow and was pleasantly surprised that it has! With anything in life I always say if you’re not getting the results you want, go back to the drawing board and tweak some things and see if that changes things! There’s a million ways to do Scentsy, and sitting down and thinking about your particular strengths and how to work with those can be helpful! You’ve got this! 💜

I freaking love success stories where people are doing what brings them joy, and then life begins to unfold in a cooler way than they ever imagined. It’s absolutely the best example of the universal law: Law of Attraction - feeling joy attracts more joy. That feeling/energy is SO powerful that it just keeps drawing in experiences that match more of that feeling/energy. And with that, I’ll calm down, but I DO love this!! It was the funniest and greatest story. It’s impossible for this to not help another move towards something they’re excited but nervous about. If you’ve considered videos, try it! It’s fun! For happy mail I usually do felt wax samples and that sort of thing - nothing crazy, or bulky as Canada Post is pricy when you get into “parcel” territory instead of letter mail.
Whatever you decide to do, you’re totally the one steering the ship! If you want to just get the testers and warmer and order your own stuff once in awhile, that can be it, and if you want to try to grow things that’s an option too! Entirely up to you how or if you do it! 💜 The nice thing is having a group of teamies that love the stuff just as you do to share with!

I am a RN. I am very introverted with a very low social battery. Somehow I stumbled across your videos. I quite enjoy watching your content. It relaxes me. Your voice is very soothing and I find that I tend to like the same things that you like. My husband thinks it’s weird that I watch wax videos. I think it’s weird that he enjoys blowing people up in a video game and finds that relaxing. We all have our own thing. I do love watching your channel and my wax stash has been growing. I’m sure there’s correlation there, but I do love to have a good smelling home. I do have a question… is your first subscriber still a subscriber?
I SO wish I knew who that first subscriber was - there’s no way for me to see who most of my subscribers are, including that first one. I would absolutely have sent them a card lol! Nobody really gets the wax community unless they’re also home fragrance obsessed lol😆 - but most people have hobbies that could be deemed weird by a lot of folks, and in the grand scheme this one is pretty harmless and makes our houses smell good so I’m ok with it 😂.

You don’t need to purchase any particular amount per month, no. To be “Active”, you have to spend/sell 200PRV in a calendar month, but to remain a consultant you only have to be Active once in a 12 month period - so you need to reach that 200 PRV once in a year but other than that, you’re good!

This is a video I really appreciate seeing, I buy a ton of Scentsy and love it so much , and I am also in Canada (P.E.I.). I have been debating whether or not to join to be my own customer; , I do have a consultant, and she has pressured me quite a bit to join so I don’t want to ask her these questions in case she starts pressuring me again, lol. Do you have to have the monthly workstation and if so, how much is that per month in Canada. Can I do it without a monthly workstation and if so, how does that affect my club…I do t want to lose it! would my club just remain under my consultant that I have now?
The consultant workstation is free for ALL consultants. The Personal Website (PWS) is $19.20 a month including tax (for BC - your tax rate may be different in PEI). You absolutely do NOT need a PWS if you’re just going to be your own consultant - if you’re just ordering for yourself and family/friends you can skip the website and just put your orders in on the consultant Workstation. You do not need to have a PWS to get commissions for your Club - there is a way to link your Club to yourself on Workstation, so your Club would leave your consultant and become your own if you joined. There is ONE occasion where it’s nice to have a PWS, and that is flash sales. We can’t shop flash sales through Workstation, only through a PWS, so if you don’t have one you’d have to shop someone else’s website for flash sales. That’s about the only time it makes a difference. Hope that’s helpful! 💜

I joined for myself. Because of my passion for Scentsy and home fragrance, my business has grown more than I thought. I went to the Scentsy Family reunion last year and I got really excited about taking this to the next step. Then, unfortunately I was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer and everything got put on the side burner. I'm now starting to get back into things and am setting goals to grow this even more. I love Scentsy and the Scentsy community. I love your videos.

I joined just for me as I fell in love with scentsy and had been purchasing quite a lot of bars when my consultant said why don’t you join , you will get money back and there’s absolutely no pressure from me . I retired from full time work at 55 and I love scentsy as a hobby .I have also just started experimenting with trying to make my own wax melts ..again just for me and as a hobby. It’s fun trying to find the right blend of oils to use . Love your videos and this one was great to listen to. Thanks Robyn. 😊

I’m in the exact same position as you. I have been thinking about this for a long time. I order a lot of scentsy because I truly love it. I’m so nervous to be a consultant. I don’t like pushing things. I don’t have a ton of friends or family to have any ‘parties’. I will just want to be my own customer. We should do it!!

It can’t hurt, especially if you use and love the products yourself already! None of my friends/colleagues knew I was a consultant for nearly a year! I did tell them eventually and now some of them order from me once in awhile - but it’s always them asking me to borrow the tester bag, or add onto my next order rather than me asking them if they want stuff. They know where to get some Scentsy if they want it!

Everyone’s journey is different. And I wouldn’t say I didn’t want it to grow - I just 1000% didn’t expect it to grow and was pleasantly surprised that it has!
With anything in life I always say if you’re not getting the results you want, go back to the drawing board and tweak some things and see if that changes things! There’s a million ways to do Scentsy, and sitting down and thinking about your particular strengths and how to work with those can be helpful! You’ve got this! 💜

I freaking love success stories where people are doing what brings them joy, and then life begins to unfold in a cooler way than they ever imagined. It’s absolutely the best example of the universal law: Law of Attraction - feeling joy attracts more joy. That feeling/energy is SO powerful that it just keeps drawing in experiences that match more of that feeling/energy. And with that, I’ll calm down, but I DO love this!! It was the funniest and greatest story. It’s impossible for this to not help another move towards something they’re excited but nervous about. For happy mail I usually do felt wax samples and that sort of thing - nothing crazy, or bulky as Canada Post is pricy when you get into “parcel” territory instead of letter mail.

Whatever you decide to do, you’re totally the one steering the ship! If you want to just get the testers and warmer and order your own stuff once in awhile, that can be it, and if you want to try to grow things that’s an option too! Entirely up to you how or if you do it! 💜
The nice thing is having a group of teamies that love the stuff just as you do to share with!

I am a RN. I am very introverted with a very low social battery. Somehow I stumbled across your videos. I quite enjoy watching your content. It relaxes me. Your voice is very soothing and I find that I tend to like the same things that you like. My husband thinks it’s weird that I watch wax videos. I think it’s weird that he enjoys blowing people up in a video game and finds that relaxing. We all have our own thing. I do love watching your channel and my wax stash has been growing. I’m sure there’s correlation there, but I do love to have a good smelling home. I do have a question… is your first subscriber still a subscriber?
I SO wish I knew who that first subscriber was - there’s no way for me to see who most of my subscribers are, including that first one. I would absolutely have sent them a card lol!
Nobody really gets the wax community unless they’re also home fragrance obsessed lol😆 - but most people have hobbies that could be deemed weird by a lot of folks, and in the grand scheme this one is pretty harmless and makes our houses smell good so I’m ok with it 😂.
Thank you for sharing your experience! You would never know you were afraid of public speaking. You are a natural. Do you need to purchase a certain dollar amount to stay active each month?
You don’t need to purchase any particular amount per month, no. To be “Active”, you have to spend/sell 200PRV in a calendar month, but to remain a consultant you only have to be Active once in a 12 month period - so you need to reach that 200 PRV once in a year but other than that, you’re good!

This is a video I really appreciate seeing, I buy a ton of Scentsy and love it so much , and I am also in Canada (P.E.I.). I have been debating whether or not to join to be my own customer; , I do have a consultant, and she has pressured me quite a bit to join so I don’t want to ask her these questions in case she starts pressuring me again, lol. Do you have to have the monthly workstation and if so, how much is that per month in Canada. Can I do it without a monthly workstation and if so, how does that affect my club…I do t want to lose it! would my club just remain under my consultant that I have now?
The consultant workstation is free for ALL consultants. The Personal Website (PWS) is $19.20 a month including tax (for BC - your tax rate may be different in PEI). You absolutely do NOT need a PWS if you’re just going to be your own consultant - if you’re just ordering for yourself and family/friends you can skip the website and just put your orders in on the consultant Workstation.
You do not need to have a PWS to get commissions for your Club - there is a way to link your Club to yourself on Workstation, so your Club would leave your consultant and become your own if you joined.
There is ONE occasion where it’s nice to have a PWS, and that is flash sales. We can’t shop flash sales through Workstation, only through a PWS, so if you don’t have one you’d have to shop someone else’s website for flash sales. That’s about the only time it makes a difference.
