I'm always down for a new Alien, Predator or Terminator movie. It's unfortunate that Terminator can't seem to get it right anymore, but I always hold on to hope. Prey was pretty kick ass, so I'm holding out for this one.

PG-13?! Seriously? After Prey and Killer of Killers, they had the perfect chance to go all in, and instead they bottled it. So close to greatness, yet miles off. I’ll still check it out, but that’s a big swing and a miss. Cheers for the tease, I guess.
The marketing for this movie had been fantastic.
When I read the script I hated the mere idea of it. However with every trailer teasing a little more I’m pumped. Even connected to Dek ã little. What a boss 💪

Even this species can be afraid and wary of risk, they don’t charge in full broad daylight against hundreds of intelligent indigenous life forms armed with projectile weapons like predator 2, it opted to retreat, just like with buffalo and other similar species, you don’t provoke the wrath of the entire herd when solo stalking, you’ll be torn to pieces and the less the locals of a safari planet know, the better, they don’t want to be found out and exposed to their global wide intelligence or have their tech stolen and reverse engineered, this could end up making planets like Earth become off limits for sport hunters

He is young and unblooded I believe. Hasnt earned it yet.
If they're sticking to existing lore, each young Yautja has to earn their mask. If this really is his first solo hunt, then it's the one to earn his mask.

Im assuming its because he hasn't earned one yet... typically in the lore a Predator gets their mask through a rite of passage, crafting it after a successful hunt, or as an upgrade to existing technology. So maybe this movie is his rite of passage.
