I don't like active items in Smite 2 because I have cognitive disabilities that make it hard to translate my thoughts into action. So, the less buttons I have in Smite the better. *Sometimes* I can manage to use my relics well. Sometimes.
I do think the stat split is resolving outstanding balance issues in Smite very well though.

I just don’t understand why they needed to change practically everything about smite in order to make smite 2. It’s so different that, at this point, they could have called it something completely different and just said “look we made a new MOBA”. Everything feels clunky and the item changes don’t seem like smite at all. Incon was right when he said “smite 2 will be nothing like smite 1” but that’s the issue. We love smite one (sort of a love hate relationship, but, still) so why would we want a game that’s practically differs from it in every way possible?

It's funny no one want's to play smite 2 but let's keep it how it is right now so no one want's to play it yeah ok.
