Henry Gibson was great in the original. It looks like his character is gonna be played by Justin Kirk. I got really excited for a minute because I though it was Tim Heidecker 😂 I'm really glad to see Mark Proksch, he's great in What We Do in the Shadows.

The original movie was a massive flop. He was not a two time Oscar winner when that movie came out. It only garnered attention and cult popularity after it was released to home video. I agree this won't be as good, but let's not start saying that movie was some giant success lol

I never saw the original movie because it got bad reviews from critics and from people I know who saw it. I understand that many people love it, and maybe it is good, but don't act like it is some perfect classic.

I too grew up watching The Burbs, one of my favorite Tom Hanks movies ever and this remake doesn't look good at all. It looks like generic trash. Best to just stick with the original classic.

So....the Burbs was one of my favorite 80s movies when i was younger...I was hoping when i saw the title and the old victorian house...that the magic might be recreated...but seeing this trailer...I DID NOT get that...so to preserve my youthful memories...I think I may miss this one....such a wasted opportunity (in my opinion)
