Covering SKZ’s hit song “Chk Chk Boom” and performing it on stage is an incredible moment for them. Just a quick note: If you’re having trouble understanding the video, here’s a little guide: I edited it so that if the video appears less colorful or less saturated, it means the sound is off. When the video plays in normal color, the sound is on. My goal is to alternate between muted and sound-on sections so we can really check out their vocals and see if NEXZ captures the vibe and feeling of the original performers, STRAY KIDS❤

I watched this performance like 5 minutes ago and my mind is blown. You could Almost have convinced me this was SKZ, that's how good this is. They brought the skz vocals, the skz energy, like wow. All this and they are a rookie group barely a year old?? SKZ is proud, JYP Is likely proud, and I am proud of these boys, especially as JYPE family. Keeping them on my radar from here on out I sense some 5th gen leaders in the coming years.

You connected the voices of the Skids and the NEXZ in an alternating sequence. After listening to it several times, I finally realized that I was hearing the voice on the upper and lower screens, the one that is brighter.
Until then, I had been listening to the song as if NEXZ was singing the whole thing, and it didn't sound so strange.
I can watch and compare the video of the day and the Skids performance video myself, but
I can compare their singing and dancing at the same time, so I can see how NEXZ, who have only been performing for 5 months since their debut, have repeatedly watched their seniors' performances, practiced, and reproduced them, while adding their own individuality to them and expressing themselves on stage. I think it was a great stage for NEXZ.

Respectable effort - though since the song is relatively new (too recent) and this was a complete cover as opposed to a different interpretation of the song, being compared to the original is unavoidable. It left me wanting to listen & watch the original masterminds.
