I'm currently in grade 12 and have to learn from home at the moment for all my subjects (including chemistry) and we got sent your RUclips links for organic chemistry. Of all videos I've had to watch associated with science, this would have to be one of the best I've seen as it was very clear and easy to understand. Unlike other videos we've had to watch, you didn't mumble, got straight to the point, didn't include anything particularly unnecessary, didn't assume that people understood a whole bunch of knowledge prior to watching, AND didn't speak at 30 words per second like crash course science does!
@@melissamaribel you're great 😊 I love watching your videos as I am doing my A levels , you make me understand ❤️I love the way you teach , please don't stop making these videos and please drop some more videos for chemical Kinetics ❤️, love from Zambia #Africa
As an Egyptian student who's at grade 12th and also, I'm taking Organic chemistry, I literally understood what you said and your explanation is incredible and simple, however, I'm totally thanking you for effort melissa!!! Following you from Egypt :D
As I progress through my chemistry courses, I'm delighted to see that more of your videos are there to hold my hand. You were there for the fundamentals, now you're there for organic. YES!
I got a 9 in GCSE chemistry, just found your amazing RUclips channel today so I am confident that with these brilliant videos and my hard work, I will get an A* in a-level chemistry!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELPFUL VIDEOS! You are the reason I got an "A" in Chemistry last semester. Now I am taking Organic Chemistry and it seems so difficult I hope to see more of these videos soon!!!
I wish I knew you sooner 🥺🧡 I was contemplating if I’ll go with my dream career because I hardly understand science lessons but you made me realize that chemistry isn’t that hard. Thank you!
45 seconds in and I'm learning more than from my actual college class... Tysm.. I have an exam Monday and I will gladly be cramming these videos in my head 10x a day until then. Cheers.
Currently taking up chemical engineering, soon to be in 2nd year. I am studying in advance for the organic chemistry because I was not in the STEM back in senior high school. Your videos are helping me, thank you so much and hopefully I can adapt to my classmates, and probably be better than them? :D Please continue to make videos like this for organic chemistry. Happy learning during these quarantines and lockdowns. :)
Thanks I am 12 yr old and really really understand this vedio about organic chemistry. Thanks again.!!! I was really needed someone to teach me orgamic chemistry and i subbscribed uuuuuuu
I am still taking general chem in college but for me to get into vet school, I need O chem. I needed to know that you made these videos. I am happy now lol
OMG this is the best explanation. I am taking Microbiology and there is a chapter on organic chemistry- and I haven't taken that class yet! It was an entire class condensed into one chapter. I literally cried when I read it because I didn't even understand the first paragraph. This explains it SO much better than my book! I will definitely subscribe and thank you so much for the help!
I wish you were there some 30 years ago with the internet and RUclips. I had to settle for Civil Engineering rather than Chemical. Great stuff, appreciate it so much and thanks.
I am still doing the survival kit emailed for joining. But I could not help but to divert to this video as I will be going into the OChem Branch. This is the best intro video ♥😀Before it gets deeper !😲
Your are amazing thank you! You are one of the teachers, I've been watching your videos for gen. Chem. one and two. I was so excited when I saw you had O chem videos. I definitely, give you credit for helping me get A's in chemistry
Thank you so much Ma'am, being in an online class is hard due to pandemic, but because of your videos you make it easier for me to understand T.T . Don"t stop making videos. You are truly appreciated.
Thank you so much for this video. I am so grateful that I have found ur youtube channel. Because of this pandemic, it is so hard to self study especially when you're not that a smart person. We're in a modular class.
its the first time i watch training video with english language which is not my mother languages i understand better than my vernacular please don't stop recording
Thank you so much for this series!! I'm a physics major, but my thesis subject includes quite a bit of chemistry, and I don't even know basic chem!!! I'm freaking out a bit, but hopefully, with your help too, I'll manage :) I'm so glad I rediscovered your channel
a hey I’m on the pre med track & I’ll be taking physics 1 next fall & 2 in spring. I’m bad at math & is like to know, what’s your key towards doing well in physics?
@@pearlsmith99 Hey, I'm not from the US/UK/AUS/etc, so I don't really know how math and physics modules work there, and I've also no idea about physics in med school. That said, I never really liked math. I was good at both in school, but what drove me in physics was that it explained things. That gave me the openness and enthusiasm to really reading and considering some problems. Additionally, some sense of achievement, whether it is from understanding a lesson or solving a problem by yourself, can really boost your self-confidence and increase your excitement for any class. Basically, you need to believe that you can do it, no matter what. That makes it a 1000x easier, and relaxes and opens your brain for new information. It's harder for me to do at uni now, where both subjects are way harder. I only had math in the first year though. Algebra and (Complex&Real) Analysis, then Mathematical Methods in Physics (hardest). I don't know which of these you would have applications for in Medicine, or if you'd have any math classes. Do you know the topics taught in your future physics classes? Maybe I could give advice based on that, but I'm not so sure haha. I would recommend looking it up if possible, then seeing what each topic approximately entails in general. That can help create a rough timeline, a sort of visual of what you will be going through. I remember I really wished I had looked at books on my first physics subject in uni (mechanics) over the summer, as it was so much more advanced than high school level, even though they said it's introductory, but that's just me. I would assume your physics won't be as extensive as ours though, so maybe your textbooks are actually finishable, haha. That brings me to, do use the internet for your studies. Look up recommended books on your subjects (in case you don't have lecture notes), there's a lot of youtubers for everything, learning platforms such as khan academy can be of great help, and also search for free problems&solutions books pdfs where it's the case. Library genesis is a good resource. That's about all I can think of, sorry if it's not relevant enough lol. If you have any further questions, let me know. In any case, start slow (if you have time) and don't let anything scare you. Physics can be hard for anybody, it's a matter of how they teach you and what your mindset is. You can do it ❤️
You gained a subscriber mam! Love your way to explain, its simple yet brilliant. Everything well learnt after watching this vid. And hope will be always here when finding help! Keep that energy all the way High! ❤
For college students out there, this is more of the ochem that you'll be tested on in inorganic chemistry (if you have a organic chemistry section). My o chem class expects us to already know this material from inorganic chemistry.
I dropped Ochem and changed majors but if you would have been my professor I probably would not have had to drop it. Crazy how the professor can make or break a class.
Dear Melissa Maribel. First of all thank you for preparing such a kind of video. Video was amazing. One thing I want to request you that can you check the notes on the notebook in this part "5:02". You wrote butyl, but actually it should be ethyl. Because as you know we will have a longest chain in the substance as a body.
Omg i haven’t even started the class but YOUUU…!!! Made it look so easy. I like how you simplified it, do you have more ochem vids? I’m starting ochem 1 this fall.
