I love cyberpunk 2077. It's a beautiful story with amazing animation that gets the raw emotion out of me every episode. It unfortunately is hard for me to recommend it to my less initiated friends because of the sex scene jump scare in the first episode.
LMFAO i hate when anime has that one out of pocket inappropriate scene and i just need to tell people to get "past that part". THE STORY WITH THE SONG THOUGH *crying*
@@muffintoppu 😭😭😭😭 The ED and "I Really Want to Stay At Your House" hit so hard after the last episode. The ED already had a sad tone to it, but it felt especially empty after the show. The other song, I love it to death but I can't add it to any of my playlist.
@@muffintoppu yes actually, i loved all of them. cyberpunk is probably the biggest one that i really liked the most. it’s become one of my top 5 animes of all time. i already loved the whole cyberpunk aesthetic before watching it so after i saw the last episode, i was just bawling and was in absolute awe in how much was incorporated into the show to make such a fun and crazy world. the other shows were also very good in creating such a unique world and atmosphere that made me scared and interested in seeing the “dystopia” that was created to tell such a compelling story.
Happy to see you back posting! The most interesting part was you drawing on your own personal experiences as a Jpop idol, would love to hear more depth on that eventually. Really good video though, always love your anime opinions and recommendations ☺

I like the way you talk, you sound like you're slightly disgusted with every word you say. You could be a VA for aristocratic roles like the councilors in Arcane (or Caitlyn). Perfect Blue is already here I think, even in Kpop. As much as I like NewJeans music, Min HeeJin and the way she is so involved with the group and the girls like she wants to be a member reminds me a lot of Perfect Blue. And likely the difference is just that she puts it out in the open, I'm sure many groups have over-involved managers that mold young idols into their own fantasy. Cyberpunk, I love the anime and the game, so I sometimes forget it's a capitalist dystopia. But yeah, we are sort of heading that way. The biggest issue both in Cyberpunk and in reality is that in a lot of ways, big corporations are becoming more powerful than governments. Again and again governments fail to put restrictions on companies, and the companies are constantly looking for new ways to influence people via social media etc. Even now it is kind of absurd how many people just accept aspects of capitalism that directly hurt humanity, e.g. with the affordable housing crisis in a lot of countries. And now AI is coming into all of this... I'm kind of curious where things will go with that. Often it is portrayed as AI being used by corporations to control people, but I wonder if corporations can control AI? Maybe AI would come to the conclusion that megacorps are a bad thing for the world and go against them. I think advanced technology can go either way, it can be just another way for controlling people, but maybe it can also be a tool to go against injustice. Like even social media has some large benefits, as it allows information to be shared globally without direct governmental (or big media) control. Even China with their ban on several social media platforms can't fully stop outside information that contradicts what the government wants people to believe from making its way into the country.
