That’s ingenious brother! The prep and setting it all up looked like an absolute pain in the ass tho. You have a great idea there and you should talk with an engineer and market some type of harness that would be used for that exact purpose. Something with only minimal setup and adjustment. I’d buy it. Great video.
@Robert F. Thanks man, yeah it’s definitely a scramble setting it up. That was like the 3rd time doing it since dreaming it up. Yes I agree, need an investor to help push it. In the mean time we all can just grab a few straps and save our backs. Thanks for watching. 💪🏽🙏🏽
@Ron Moore. Hey Thanks. If you know an investor, tell ‘em to hit me up. I’ll get em produced and you get the first set for free. 😁. Thanks for watching 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I might have to do that. I'm 52 years old and short and have a bad back. I have 40 inch tires on steel wheels. Have not had to change a tire with those yet but I've been hoping I'm not by myself. Great idea!
I've got getting the tire down pat. Gravity does all the work. Got enough meat hanging over thr rim i don't have to worry about scratching it. Getting it back on the carrier is another story. I might give this method a shot. My lower back is hosed, so picking up a 100lb tires is out of the question, but my legs still work moving me, so if this method helps to move the weight down, it should help.
To tell the truth, I put my big heavy $500 35" spare on my JK for pure looks. I hope I never have to change it in the field.LOL But this is a great idea.
@Diego My thoughts exactly, I hope to never need to change a tire while off the grid, or anywhere for that matter. At least now I have a fighting chance. 😅
@Steven Claggett. Thanks. Having never owned a Jeep before I had to think of something. After watching the tire guys struggle when they installed it, my jaw was on the floor. 😱 This should at least give me a fighting chance. Thanks for watching. 😅
Nice video, I have 37x12.5x17 geolander mts also with 17x9 -12 offset fuel wheels and I thought the tires looked a little narrow. I'm running 1.75" wheel spacers to get more poke, did you do the same or do you have a much more negative offset?
@Mark. I was trying to avoid spacers so my wheels are 17x9.5 -18 to get that lil extra poke. -12 to -18mm is about a 1/4” difference or so. Plus an extra 1/2” wide wheel may have stretched the tire out just tiny bit more than a 9” wide wheel. Thanks for watching. 😀
Nice! You should get with an engineer and develop a patent for it! That being said... i am 59 years old, 5'5 and 163 lbs. I rotate my 35's by myself. My jeep has a 4.5 in lift, so the middle of the spare tire is almost at eye level.... and i grab that sucker, lift it to eye level, line it up, and there ya go! In all fairness though, competed in powerlifting for a few decades,lol
@Joseph that’s a great idea. 👍🏽 I knew a muscle man was gonna show up at the end. Lol. Spare at eye level? Wow!!!!! You rock.!!!!! Thanks for watching 💪🏽🙏🏽
You can't lift 112 pounds? EDIT - disregard, I agree. Work smarter, not harder. What is a 'Jeep Next'? Please tell me it's not that electric POS Jeep sells. What is on your antenna?
Yep, smarter not harder. :O). "NEXT" was the name my wife gave the Jeep because I was in the habit of buying new vehicles every couple years... So it was the NEXT vehicle I bought..Those days are over tho. Thanks for watching! And Oh... 20 years ago I would have snatched that tire off the ground and threw it right up there... now at the tail end of my 50's, I'm careful about what I do. :O)
Hope it helps. Thanks for watching 👍🏽

I like it! Old backs need new tricks. Thanks`.
That’s a great idea . if you sold already made straps I would buy them . As in a rig

@Mike E. I feel ya. My thoughts exactly. 😅
Your idea is genius! Thank you for sharing. I knew they were heavy, but 112.4 pounds!? Wow. Nice technique.
@cardplayer71. Thanks 🙏🏽 figured there just had to be a better way. Lol. Thanks for watching 😄
Genius!!!👏🏻🙌🏼

Do you think this ever become an Olympic event?

Great idea, at 73 I no longer have the upper body strength to lift that kind of weight. I've got extra straps, I'll set some up and see what I can do.

Ya, and i am 72. Love it
@@jefffleming7061 that’s awesome. You guys got me beat. I just hit 55. 😁
@Oscar. That’s a cool idea too. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
WELL, you saved your back BUT you lost your BALLS ! ! did you ever find the tennis balls ?
@paulbunion6233. HaHahaha
Yeah they didn’t go far…. They were loosely attached. 😂
Nice work Sir
@Jeffrey Hurst. Thanks. 😀💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Your tennis ball went AWOL down the road but interesting idea.
Very creative sir.
