I love how Michael is yelling at different people throughout the piece, trying to make sure everything is exactly as he wants it. He’s terrifying, but a true artist.

thank you for uploading this. i saw them a couple days later and it was one of the best days of my life. i unfortunately didn't film it, as i was in the front row and i didn't want to piss off gira lol. but this brings me right back to that moment. thank you

Would be cool if the captions had all the things Gira is saying and feeling when hes getting upset lol
11:12 "Now!!!! You guys gonna just sit there?!"
11:44 *Unintelligible* Looks to be motioning for Kris to use his pedal
11:50 Kris continues to not use his pedal*
11:55 Gira turns halfway back to acknowledge the absence of pedal once more
11:56 Gira places his hand on his head in frustration and disbelief*

I mean he’s screaming angry intense performing. The artist bares out their true self in everything they do.

What does Michael say at 3:15? At first I thought it was "Quickly, Chris, quickly!" but I think that's not quite right.

They replace 2 drummers for 2 bassists and 1 guitar for 2 lap steel guitars?

No song titled that can be found on The Beggar's tracklist, maybe they're already working or developing songs for a different later release.

@@JoeMama-il7jy also possible yea, but I know from others that they were known to perform or iron out pieces from future albums during their live sets (at least I'm pretty sure). Considering the upcoming album has already been recorded, I'd like to think they've they're also gunning for a subsequent release, but who knows.

Correct me if im wrong but they don’t sound as loud as they were before. They still sound amazing though.

You won't be able to tell until you're actually at one of the shows because no recording does enough justice for how fucking loud these shows are. It's equally as loud as the 2010-17 shows from what I've been told.

    • @gulcinyuksel4129

      it was loud as fuck

I saw them yesterday and I saw them in 2017. In 2017 I had physical pain after not using ear plugs for half the set, and my ears rang for 3 days or so. Last night I didn't use earplugs at all and my ears were only slightly muffled afterwards, and they are fine today. They were 100% not as loud as before, but it doesn't matter. It was loud, louder than most bands for sure. Most recently I can compare them to a set I saw for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and this Swans was much louder than GY!BE, and that was also a loud set. More importantly, however, the mixing was near-perfect, the balance of the mix, vocals were crisp when needed, muddy when that was called for. Things were being changed on the fly throughout the set. The last 30-40 mins of the set, with the medley that included Birthing, took me to a special mental place. Free of thoughts. Sublime band.

Its still loud in a way that reverberates your chest but not unbearable so. I saw them at Dallas this September and took off my earplugs halfway through.

As someone who was front row at the recent Dallas show, I couldn’t hear most things afterwards for over 24 hours.
