Ted will you stop talking about the Big V! It's nuts!!!!!LOL!!!!Great show! You're in the know! You have created a man cave atmosphere! Here Here! And a post operation Cheer!!!!!
Thanks for the season! Gonna touch upon your thoughts for the Tewaaraton winner on the season 5 kickoff? Lots of people listing the stats in favor for O’Neill but Pat is a certified dog on rides and CTOs. My money is on Kav☘️ See you in Season 5 and I’ll be ordering a shirt to support💪🏼
I think it's between those two, but oddly enough, Kirst was the most dominant guy in terms of points with 5.6 compared to O'Neill (5.11) and Kavanagh (4.81). The fact that none of the guys in the final four cemented it to me opens it back up for Kirst. My prediction though, O'Neill wins it, mostly because I think he actually "is" the best player in the country at this point, even if he didn't have a great final four and lost to ND. But maybe the Natty and the guts to play on Monday wins it for Pat. I DON'T CARE IN THE END haha. Any of the finalists are fair game in my opinion.
Just a terrific wrap up to both the great game and a great season. Your enthusiasm and knowledge always help propel me through the season, and I appreciate this very much. As much as I love my cavaliers, I really do believe Notre Dame deserves this win, I think they've played like a champion most of the season, particularly coming out of the gate. But the more I get involved and watch this sport, the more I realize how the people playing it this level are just so damn good and almost anybody can beat anybody on any given day. It's so much fun and it proves the competition and sport should be fun and when you win enjoy it and when you lose lose with grace and play the next game. Thanks again, Ted, for a swell season. And I look forward to next season, if we both make it that far!
I just shook the magic 8 ball and it said the chance we are both still kicking around next season is pretty, pretty, pretty good (insert Curb Your Enthusiasm theme song here)...
Great recap. Spot on!! Not sure why nobody has highlighted what I thought was the greatest play of the tournament at a crucial moment! C. K.’s sick Vicious Double Tomahawk chop on #29 Brower, who fell down from the force of the first chop, and then the ball flew up from the force of the second tomahawk!!! He goes on to pik up the ground ball and Simmons scores to make it 11-8 and its History. If Duke clears and scores, it’s 10-9 and a different game?( maybe). The 1:20 seconds from 6:26-5:06 was incredible and a huge momentum boost. L.E. Makes a point blank save on Balsamo on man up, then clear, QM hits the pipe, and the CK goes into sick mode to get the ball back and put this game away!! You’re so right that maybe the KAVANAUGH brothers didn’t have their best game BUT they are the heart and soul and engine of this National Champion Team!! Thanks for your wonderful insight into the game! Appreciate all the work you do!! Can’t wait for PLL action!!!!!!!!!!!!
For a championship game I think I might have a strategy that includes my better players taking on the role of drawing away defenders and dishing. Just a thought.
Thanks for making the season even more fun to watch. I have to say it, but I loved in the Pat Macaffe show when they said the Ivy is “a bunch of frauds”. I laughed out loud.
I think we need two rule changes based on things I saw in May: 1) the 3min illegal body check needs to be less subjective, if it would be targeting in football it should be 3min; 2) if you land in the goal mouth it should never be a goal even off a push, I saw a lot of guys diving at goalies knees with light pressure to the back and don’t think that was an accident, we need to protect goalkeepers.
Great analysis!!! I was saying these same things as we were watching. ND goalie play was a brick wall. At the dot ND won the percentage. I kept saying when are Dukes shots going to hit net. Also was waiting for Duke to win most of the FOs, never happened. The run in the third was exciting about the only time the ND fans went silent. But that was short lived and the writing was on the wall. Also I like how ND beat UVA basically leaving no question they were the best team this year.
Being the stats guy appreciate disecting , goalies, faceoffs, turn overs as the most important factor not the guys scoring goals.
It was crazy that the depth for both teams contributed more than the big cats.

Love your recaps. Looking forward to this PLL season!
I love that you love the recaps and more importantly that you engage Dave. Can't thank you enough for your support.

Thanks as always David. All of that is dead on. The Kav's are filthy animals and everyone should love it haha.

Pat Kavanagh for Tewarraton 100%!!!
Haha, this one didn't go as you planned. I'm not surprised, O'Neill had the better overall resume. This was the tightest race in a while.

And that's key, they played better as a team all the way through their rosters than UVA or Duke did.
