  • Almost to the finish line on this camper build. Just waiting on the back windows and back hatch, then we can call it complete and I’ll do a full walk around video with in depth explanations of how I built this thing!

    Do you remember how u sealed the plywood? An if so what was used? Then what paint? Did the plywood end up splitting or stay in good shape? I feel a good seal will prevent the wood split like I see on a lot!! Thanks for info I am currently building one an almost to the painting stage

      So, I used MDO plywood which is virtually waterproof. It’s what a lot of outdoor billboards are made out of, so that helped a lot. It’s a specialty order sheet good though. And I just used exterior primer and paint from good old Lowe’s

    I saw parts 1, 4, and 5. Where are parts 2 & 3 hidden? You used MDO, but they only come in 4' widths. Please explain how you get 5 x 8 .

      All the build series is on my channel, so not sure why you can’t see them. My local specialty plywood dealer sold the MDO to me in 5x10 sheets.

    exterior looks really nice. i watched your "walls" episode but cant quite figure out what exactly you did. is it just your 1/2" plywood skin sanded and painted? did you do anything special at edges where plywoods meet? i am trying to decide weather to do PMF or ponny up for aluminum sheets, but i am really intrigued to your approach.
    thanks

      Thanks. For the edges of the MDO I used a layer of Bondo to seal it, then sanded it flush👍🏻

    What is the depth of the doors and the walls they just look perfect

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  Год назад

      They ended up being about 1 7/8” thick. The doors have several different sizes you can choose from to match the thickness of the walls
