@IBRAHIM NASIR they filmed a lot of crashes and uploaded them and the nring guys thought it was bad publicity. Kind backfired by getting them more bad publicity tho
5:04 First time I see a Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon at the Ring. It’s -as usual- an all wheel drive and fun to drive. The roadholding is fabulous, but I guess the driver lifted the throttle in stead of keeping his foot down. That caused the understeer and spin. And did anyone notice the short turning circle?

To drive the Nurburgring is a bucketlist item. I watch these videos all the time and i am not deterred from wanting to drive this road. If anything, it shows me what not to do or what to watch for...

I just realized why so many people have problems on that turn, for one you are coming downhill into the turn, which falsely boosts your confidence because the weight of the car is shifted to the front, allowing for better braking. Secondly, the turn is very deceptive in terms of how much of an angle it is, it's not a 90 degree turn, it's a slightly long-winded 110 - 120 degree turn which is why the apex of the turn is slightly deceptive as well. The apex is actually a few meters ahead of where drivers think because it's not a 90 degree turn. Thirdly, the turn itself is uphill. There's a downhill braking zone into a little dip and them the turn is uphill, which shifts the weight of the car to the back thus reducing the traction of the front tires. However, when you hit the apex and head to your turn-out zone the road levels and then dips again. Therefore, it provides the driver with a false sense of grip, they have good grip as they start to accelerate because it is uphill, which makes them accelerate a bit more because the grip is good, but the road immediately dips downhill again, thus re-shifting the weight of the car to the front wheels and breaking traction for the back wheels. Which is why most drivers struggle through that turn and often crash from inexperience of the track. This is especially exemplified under wet conditions when peddle control is all the more important.
