- Marius Brenciu singing "Intermezzo" from Robert Schumann's Liederkreis (Op. 39) during the first preliminary round of the 2001 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.
The Romanian tenor took both the main prize and the song prize that year - the first to achieve this incredible feat. His repertoire includes Rodolfo (La Bohème), Alfredo (La Traviata), Macduff (Macbeth) and many more.
He made his debut at the MET in 2008 with an overwhelming success in La Rondine (Puccini) and embodied Lenski (Eugen Onegin) at Bayerische Staatsoper.
Accompanied by Ingrid Surgenor
