Try increasing the output transistor bias with the PCB mounted pots, the amp will disappear. Mine is now slightly warm to touch when idling. Placing my hand above the amp I feel a little bit of warm air moving through the heat sinks. CCW rotation of the pot increases bias. I settled on 82 mA bias, ~27 mV across the 0.33 ohm resistor after letting it idle for 10 minutes.

There is a outstanding classic jazz lp on Bluenote records by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers titled, "Indestructible." This is definitely appropriate for Adcom amplifiers. I've had my Adcom 555 Mk2 for going on 35 years and it still sounds and performs flawlessly. Go Adcom!
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted I feel you man. For me it still is. This was one of Rudy VanGelder's recorded masterpieces. Punchy, dynamic, and transparent with a wide sound stage and good atmosphere. Tonality is great also. I find it addictive when played at medium to high volume.👍👍
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted They don't have engineers like VanGelder, Plaut&Waller, Bruce Sweidiene, and Roy Dunann( Sonny Rollins, Way out west) and the team of Cozart& Fine(Mercury) anymore. Great studios like Abbey Road and Columbia's 30th street studios are gone also. There are still a few still here like VanGelder studio and engineers like David Chesky and others still doing great work.
@@CarlVanDoren61 I would recommend monoblocks, or biamp with tubes on midrange and treble with transistors on bass, like what I'm doing. Sounds amazing with no performance issues whatsoever!👍
Wrong! Jackcon caps are modestly priced, durable caps. They are used in a ton of computer equipment. Some of you people need to educate yourselves. You think these companies dont build to a pricepoint?? Yes, lets throw 8 to 10 nichicon caps that cost 50 bucks a piece although cost ten cents to make and then charge double for the amplifier when in fact the caps have the exact same values and perform the same. Sheesh
I finally got mine. It is awesome. Everything I expected from Adcom and then some. Absolutely beautiful!!!!
@@careystuart congrats on the purchase !!!

Thank you for another very informative video presentation! Also love all of the A/V products you review!
Glad you like them!

@valueelectronics9390 thank you !!
Adcom never left the market...company was sold and now has a whole line of top notch items

I have that record !!! It was one of the compulsory listening during my university days.

It is ironic that older recordings have better quality and dynamics compared to new recordings done at 24/192

@williamcampbell3868 Abbey Road Studios are gone? Dang! I went there about a decade ago.
Congrats David, I have the GFA545 and GFA 555 both MK2 great amps
Thank you for watching my crappy video.
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted Nahh it was OKAY for me.
Thank you for the kind words. :)
Another great review. How is compared to Tonewinner.
The sound is a tad more refined but that may just be psychological and the nostalgia I had with the brand. You can’t get wrong wither way.
Thanks
Hey Dave! salam dari Indonesia! great video!
Makaci Pak. Silahkan do subscribe dan nonton video video useless saya lainnya. Hehehe
What are the specs... Watts into 8 and 4 ohm? What are they in bridged mood?
Here you go:
70 watts into 8 ohms
100 watts into 4 ohms
175 watts into 8 ohms, bridged
Piye kabare Pak Bos 🖐️
Baik Pak. ❤
Correct your title because it says GFA-60002 not GFA-6002.
Thank you !!!
Won't power 3.7is or 20.7s 😮
Just buy a few
Exactly!! After all you can bridge the amp anyway.

"Jackcon" caps 😂
Hehehehehe. 😂
JACKCON caps are actually highly regarded and have excellent durability. So many people on these threads that have zero clue about audio equipment.
Yeah. Other than the funny name, there is nothing wrong with those caps.
The original GFA535 was a dual mono design I have one and it weighs 25lbs and puts out more than the rated 60 watts channel
Your point? The 6002 weighs 25 lbs and rated at 70 wpc and in reality it’s closer to around 85 wpc.
Looks like a china made amplifier...i saw a jackon capacitor which is a very low cost low quality capacitor...
@@robertosamonte6477 all I care about is how it sounds.
@@DavidSusiloUnscriptedThat power supply is lame.
