This was a real hidden gem of a game. Hadn't heard of this game at all.
I just landed in Philly first time long time and this week's episode feels like I'm watching it front and center. Got my wawa hoagie and my wawa berry dragon refresher on deck🔥
The Philadelphia board of tourism should reward these handsome fucks as much as California did the Red Hot Chili Peppers because yes, wawa is as good as they've made it out to be these past 10+ years.

i always heard about Wawa from my ex fiancé and finally went to one while I was in Jacksonville, FL. Was kind of surprised to find one cause I was under the impression they were only in the New England area. Will agree, Wawa is a magical place and should be the only convenience store across all of the world. Best. Place. EVER!

I used to play this in school, only instead of Dodgeball or D-Ball, we called it Doctor Ball, and instead of being out when you were hit, you'd join your team on the sidelines, and if you got an opponent out from the side you went back in... games would get hectic and could last anywhere between 5-30 minutes! One time I was untouchable and the teacher had to call the game so we would get back to class, lol... Good Times.

Correction for anyone who cares: Agetec are not the ones that made the game, they just distributed it in the US. The games came from several Japanese developers.

The Series of Games are called "Simple" which are a lot, in a lot of consoles. These were made with the intention of selling them cheaper and some of the later ones are more experimental and whacky. Would love to see them in future Continue?´s
This and the games listed in the book are by a Japanese company and they’re called Simple Series games. It’s where Oneechanbara came from. Ported to English with lame names like “Racing”. You should check out some of the other games in the series that stayed in Japan. They are… interesting…
They are the ones that put out Power Shovel, that back hoe digger construction game I think you guys have played a long time ago.

I recognize that font because the same company made Top Shop, which you've previously played a while ago. I used to really enjoy that one but even I'd never heard of this dodgeball game, it actually does look pretty fun. Reminds me of Super Dodgeball from the NES but without the health bars.

playing this back in the day: you could tell the devs WERE fans of the original NES Dodgeball, but that they were also VERY rookie developers-- incredibly stiff, jank controls and only the barest-bones of content
When game Graphic = ok. Game concept = ok. Hell Company make ok games = 🤷🏿♂️? BUT THEY PROGRAM THAT 1 GAME THAT WILL BE COUCH BATTLE WARS . Like Mario party or Call of Duty

yeah, this game couldn't nail the physics-- especially instilling an intuitive and weighty momentum when you initiate a run-into-throw.
not to mention a lack of even the mildest of input-buffers on the 'special shots' made them finicky at best, even for a diehard Street Fighter grognard.
