I’ve watched at least two dozen of their videos. At first I figured each will be the same. They do have their signature songs but their repertoire of music is impressive and seems endless. The quality maintained while moving in incredible synchronized motion. No weakness. I rewatch so I can see what they are all doing and it’s amazing the skill level. There is nothing amateur about these kids. Most professionals don’t perform to their level especially at high school age. No University band in the US can come close. I can’t imagine the hours of dedication invested. Then the energy level is unparalleled. Most bands do mainly drums when marching a long distance parade like the Rose Bowl. This group never stops entertaining and playing the entire parade route. I thought that’s all they do is march , play great music while dancing then I watch the video where they sat down and played orchestra style. Guess what ? They are not just kids playing they are accomplished musicians ! If you’ve not seen that you need too. Make sure you have a quality sound system so you can hear the sound quality.
Thank you for the good comments. I always listen to Tachibana performances with PC audio (high resolution 24bit / 96khz). That sound quality is convincing as a music fan. In addition, they are doing their best at every occasion and in every place. I heard that their practice is hard like athletes. As a result, I think that it is possible to perform accurate performance without disturbance even for a long time performance. There are also a lot of performance repertoire, and there are many dance patterns accompanying it, but they do it without mistaking it. Within thousands of videos made re: Tachibana's performances... some do feature/reveal their ongoing difficult practice sessions . Plenty of sweating and crying occurs (in order)to hone & tone EVERY resultant 🎶 nuance . Members 'push each other' towards excellence ; meaning...emotionally. In case you're imagining physically flailing arms during incidental shoving matches . I.E. Rammed against wobbly stacks of instruments .... The final result is (that) their elite feel less inclined to groan : " I'm quitting ; today's my last day ; nobody try to stop me now(etcetera) ." 🎶😀🎶 We're 📹/📲 grateful for Tachibana's collective 🎼perseverance . It compounds optimism(!) in 🌐 audience's lives . And , of course , 🇯🇵 Kyoto's. . . .

LanceRhett Lindeman -- That all comes with the road to perfection. No one reaches this level without tears and emotional set backs. The conditioning alone would break most down. So many perfections at the highest level. Long days and short nights week after week. I would be interested in knowing what most do after graduation. All these members have exceptional talent to drop all and move on to higher education or into the working world.
They have their own documentary on how they became such amazing band. They were all scolded and lectured by seniors just to perfect one movement. They cried and almost gave up. However, at the end they were happy that they could perform with such complicated choreography with satisfaction and their hard work paid off. That's why the audiences that watch their performance like in the blink of an eye the songs ended in 3-4 mins or more, but behind the scene they'd worked so hard for this to happen really impresses me the most!

Every time I watch a Kyoto Tachibana HS band video, I have to constantly remind myself that they are just high school students, and this is just an after school club activity. I have to keep reminding myself that they are not professional musicians or a permanent music band, or entertainment stars. Its so easy to forget , because they are simply so entertaining and interesting, listening, watching them live would be worth the price of any concert ticket.
I do not like high school marching bands because they play the same boring music, they walk like soldiers and they look angry, BUT I sure love the way YOU ALL play, with a smile , happy, having fun and you seem to enjoy what you do, WOW you are awesome, you all play your instruments joyfully, you are the only marching Band I LOVE, Maybe after you graduate from high school you will continue to play professionally, the best in life to every one of you, YOU ARE ALL GREAT MUSICIANS.
I think so, too. "Mr. Hiramatsu" who established this band seems to had wanted to establish a marching band which has never existed. He can see him in the Rose Parade in 2018. He is a gray old man who marches near the student of Kyoto Tachibana.
Actually, high schools are becoming more innovative with their marching shows and play a wide variety of music. Its not all the same. Alot of high schools get shows written for them to compete with each year with different music and different themes like for example my high school had the themes of the rock band muse, and another year we had a sleeping beauty themed show. Of course other schools might've had better themes and way more interesting shows, but i guarantee you its not all the same. Something alot of schools are starting to imitate is drum corps. I do suggest you check out Blue Coats 2014-16 as well as 2014-15 Blue Devils, 2013-18 Carolina Crown, Cavaliers have also had really good shows these past few years. Now i can agree schools do look angry but its something the students really enjoy. Just because they look angry doesnt mean they hate it or anything. Alot of the students are actually some of the funnest people around. Also we don't walk. We march. I hope this doesn't come across as rude, and i agree that they're great musicians.
@@josemenchaca6933 what hes trying to say is that This marching band is one of the most enjoyable marching bands to actually watch and listen to during standstill shows or watching them through parades , they put in much more work than more than half of all the marching bands out there in the states , field shows are different stories

The two video links below were from one of their performances last year and you should be able to recognize many of the members that were in this 2018 video including the Drum Major, two of the color guards, the sax soloist in the song September, etc. plus others. この世代のカラーガードのレベルが高いことに驚かされる。
（個人的な感想で申し訳ないがsingｘ３の時前でダンスしている左から2人目の人のダンスを見て、恥かしながら65歳にして初めてダンスの魅力を教えられた。素直に素敵だと思った。それからローズパレードではこの生徒さんは何処にいるのか探しているけど分からないままだ。）
全体が生き生きして彼女たちも楽しんでいるように感じる。
2012年の生徒さんたちも生き生きしていた。2018年組はさらに生き生きとして素晴らしいパフォーマンスを見せてくれている。
その違いを感じたのは台湾に行かれた世代の生徒さんたちとは明らかな違いを感じてしまった。いつの間に変化したのだろうか？なんだかフォーメンションとか変なところにこだわりすぎて生き生きさ、伸び伸びと演技する彼女たちの楽しそうにしている魅力が影をひそめてしまったように感じてしまう。
国慶節という特殊な環境だからお堅くいく必要は理解できるところではある。でも2023年別府でこの目で身近に見ても、この世代の生徒さんたちにも自由さ生き生きとした彼女たちの部分が無くなりつつあるのではないかと感じてしまった。何だかとてもさみしくなってしまう。
2023年12月に台湾、2025年に3度目のローズパレードの参加するらしいけど、私の感じたことが優紀であってほしいものだ。
2012年、2018年当時の生徒さんたちのように生き生きと輝いてほしい。細かい演技にこだわりすぎて彼女たちの素晴らしいパフォーマンスを発揮することの妨げにならないように願いたい。
生き生きと輝いて涙の出てくるような感動を表現し続けて欲しいものだ。
これ、全てが学生たち自身の発案での構成、演技演奏なのがすごいね！これがどこも真似できない橘高校吹奏楽部の特徴であり凄さ！

申し訳ないけど、現役生と比較するわけではないけど、この115期生を中心とした、この世代は連綿と続く京都橘高校吹奏学部の完成形ではないかと思えます。ホントに、演奏者が楽しく演奏していることが、良く分かります。月並みですが、躍動感と感動がダイレクトに伝わり、涙が止まりません。本当にこの感動をいただきありがとうございます。
ローズパレードという最高のステージを経験し、いきなりの方針転換という最悪の告知を経験した激動の世代です。
反逆精神が加担して全て残すとこ無く振り絞ったパフォーマンスは他の映像にも伺えます。

115期生と言えば一年生にして顧問に「今年の一年生は優秀」と言わしめたエリート集団でした。
ローズパレードを経験して新たに開眼し、新体制に反発して信念を貫き通し、橘の進化の究極形態を示してくれました。
恩師の退陣に感謝の意を込めたパフォーマンスで送り出したのもこの世代でしたね。
自分の若い頃、女の子の吹奏楽は、実感が湧かなかったが、橘の女の子で考えが変わった😶 よくあんな可愛い女の子があんな音を出せるもんだと感心する。まさに、アメイジング‼️頑張れ、日本の10代女子👍

これだけの人数なのに、どの要素にも乱れがないのがすごい。

114期生ロスもようやく癒えたと思ったら今度は早くも115期生ロスが・・・
アメリカ遠征の大舞台を引っ張ってきた114期生のみなさん。
そして例年よりも次年度に向けて始動しはじめる時期がずれ込んだ115期生。
しかも橘吹奏楽の大御所とも言える顧問の田中先生が抜けれれて・・・
114期生、115期生はいつもと違うプレッシャーの中でもとてつもないパフォーマンスは
圧巻です。
彼女達にとってはそれらのプレッシャーが心地よいものかもしれません。
それが透き通るような笑顔となって感動させてくれます。
いつも忘れてしまいますがこれは部活動なんですよね。
しかも偏差値が高い進学校の生徒さん達。
勉強の傍でこれだけのパフォーマンスをこなしてしまう彼女達は
本当に・・・・・・いつも感動をありがとう。
そうですよね。私はまだ114期ロスから抜け出せません、それなのに
115期まで卒業してしまうなんて・・・。私の心をどうしようと言うの？
Y先生の演出術は、目を見張るものがあります。全ての楽器を主役にする演出は最高っす👍
ローズパレードに出場した年のこのバンドは本当に素晴らしい！一体どれほどの練習をしたのだろう、そんな感銘を受け続ける。一人一人の粒が揃っていてなおかつハイテクニックを併せ持つ。何度聞いても感動があり、高校生のしかも女の子たちが完成された管楽を奏でる。コンサートだけでも十分な価値があるのに加えて、なおタイミングの揃ったダンスを重ね合わせる。もはや、精巧な手仕事ニッポン、の代表の１ジャンルと言ってよい仕上がりだと思います。高校生なので叶いませんが、チケットや鑑賞料で収益をいただいても不思議や異論のないレベルで、無料で聞けた人たちは幸せです。指導者の方のクオリティも伝わってきますし、練習に裏打ちされた自信からくるのでしょう、難しい演奏に余裕すら感じられることは本当にパッション以外の何ものでもありません。昨今,暗い雰囲気ばかりの日本と世界に、「夢と希望」を与えてくれる橘高校のオレンジの ''天使”たち、に栄光あれ！と祈らずにはいられません。 （1部のコメントと重複して投稿しました）
2016年から2019年まではマーチングコンテストでは関西地区では金賞でもいわゆるダメ金で全国大会にも出てない。知ってますか？

吹連の視覚聴覚のみで優劣を付ける体質にはゲンナリです。
かつてはアンチ橘傾向さえありました。
だから顧問を変えて吹連好みにすり寄ったのです。
この子達を見ていると、「今の若いものは・・・」なんて言葉は絶対に出てこない。それより「今の若い子たちは、すごい、すごい、すごすぎー!!!」になる。
子供から大人までが、彼女たちに負けないよう頑張ろうという気持ちになる。一生懸命何かに取り組んでいる姿は、本当に美しい!!
2018の楽器フェアのパフォーマンスは、構成、演技、演奏いずれも最高です。本当によくここまでのものを作り上げましたね。言葉では上手く表現できませんが、まさに感動の極みです。

何度も言いますが、これは橘高校吹奏楽部の最高峰とも言えるパフォーマンスですよ！あえてファンの通称で言いますが、もう、CG三人娘の左から115期オセロコンビ（黒の小麦さん、白の京美人さん）、116期のインド姫さん、新三人娘たち、その他各期のDM.、部長さんたち、パートリーダーさんたち、名前を言いたくて紹介したくてウズウズしてるメンバーさんがたくさんいますが、本当にこの期（115～117）は何とも個性的な才能豊かなメンバーが盛りだくさんで大変な豊作の年なんです！😧 まあ、部活とは言え、他校の吹奏楽部の何倍も過酷な練習がある条件の中でも、素敵な学生が集まってその後も橘は大豊作（2年連続全国金賞、台湾など海外での抜群の人気の高さ）が続いてますが、橘を知ったらいわゆるプロ（カリスマ指導者も含む）の指導者の下での他の並みの吹奏楽部のパレードやパフォーマンスはもう退屈でしかない！（他校をけなす意図は全くありません、それが賞を目指す普通の吹奏楽部の部活なんですから、ただ橘高校吹奏楽部は普通からはあまりにも突出し、なおかつ賞も取ってしまう存在だと言うことです！）
ほんまこの年は凄かった！
高校生の部活のメンバーでこれでもかって素敵な子達が奇跡的に集まった奇跡的な年。
寮がなく関西圏の子しか入部出来ないことを考えると奇跡の世代😊
きっと、ローズパレードで何かを悟ったのでしょうね。
反逆精神からの団結もこの世代のカラーです。
I’ve watched at least two dozen of their videos. At first I figured each will be the same. They do have their signature songs but their repertoire of music is impressive and seems endless. The quality maintained while moving in incredible synchronized motion. No weakness. I rewatch so I can see what they are all doing and it’s amazing the skill level. There is nothing amateur about these kids. Most professionals don’t perform to their level especially at high school age. No University band in the US can come close. I can’t imagine the hours of dedication invested. Then the energy level is unparalleled. Most bands do mainly drums when marching a long distance parade like the Rose Bowl. This group never stops entertaining and playing the entire parade route. I thought that’s all they do is march , play great music while dancing then I watch the video where they sat down and played orchestra style. Guess what ? They are not just kids playing they are accomplished musicians ! If you’ve not seen that you need too. Make sure you have a quality sound system so you can hear the sound quality.

I always listen to Tachibana performances with PC audio (high resolution 24bit / 96khz). That sound quality is convincing as a music fan.
In addition, they are doing their best at every occasion and in every place. I heard that their practice is hard like athletes. As a result, I think that it is possible to perform accurate performance without disturbance even for a long time performance. There are also a lot of performance repertoire, and there are many dance patterns accompanying it, but they do it without mistaking it. Despite being a high school student band, I think that its contents and actions are genuine musicians.

更に彼らはどんな時でも、どんな場所でもベストを尽くして演奏をしています。彼らの練習は、運動選手のようにハードだと聞いています。その結果、長時間の演奏でも乱れることがなく正確なパフォーマンスをおこなうことができるのだと思います。また、演奏レパートリーも多く、それに伴うダンスパターンも数多くありますが、彼らはそれを間違えることなく実行しています。彼らは高校生のバンドであるにも拘らず、その内容と行動は本物の音楽家だと思います。

Plenty of sweating and crying occurs (in order)to hone & tone EVERY resultant 🎶 nuance .
Members 'push each other' towards excellence ; meaning...emotionally. In case you're imagining physically flailing arms during incidental shoving matches . I.E. Rammed against wobbly stacks of instruments ....
The final result is (that) their elite feel less inclined to groan : " I'm quitting ; today's my last day ; nobody try to stop me now(etcetera) ." 🎶😀🎶
We're 📹/📲 grateful for Tachibana's collective 🎼perseverance . It compounds optimism(!) in 🌐 audience's lives . And , of course , 🇯🇵 Kyoto's. . . .

If they all can rely on each other when it's difficult, then no wonder it's such a tight performance. NO ego in there at all.. But Obvious hard work and tears.
LanceRhett Lindeman -- That all comes with the road to perfection. No one reaches this level without tears and emotional set backs. The conditioning alone would break most down. So many perfections at the highest level. Long days and short nights week after week. I would be interested in knowing what most do after graduation. All these members have exceptional talent to drop all and move on to higher education or into the working world.
They have their own documentary on how they became such amazing band. They were all scolded and lectured by seniors just to perfect one movement. They cried and almost gave up. However, at the end they were happy that they could perform with such complicated choreography with satisfaction and their hard work paid off. That's why the audiences that watch their performance like in the blink of an eye the songs ended in 3-4 mins or more, but behind the scene they'd worked so hard for this to happen really impresses me the most!

多くの人が演奏を褒めるけど、横断幕を含めたカラーガードの凄さを見て欲しいです、彼女たちはカラーガード専門でなくそれぞれ演奏もします。むしろそちらが専門です、なのにあの一糸乱れぬパフォーマンスは橘の象徴でもあります！
橘吹部はその奇抜なパフォーマンスとは裏腹に他校以上にマーチングの伝統を重んじています。
その表れのひとつがカラーガードに重きを置いていることです。
パーカス隊のタバードもマーチングの伝統を尊重して羽織っているのです。

Every time I watch a Kyoto Tachibana HS band video, I have to constantly remind myself that they are just high school students, and this is just an after school club activity. I have to keep reminding myself that they are not professional musicians or a permanent music band, or entertainment stars.
Its so easy to forget , because they are simply so entertaining and interesting, listening, watching them live would be worth the price of any concert ticket.

I do not like high school marching bands because they play the same boring music, they walk like soldiers and they look angry, BUT I sure love the way YOU ALL play, with a smile , happy, having fun and you seem to enjoy what you do, WOW you are awesome, you all play your instruments joyfully, you are the only marching Band I LOVE, Maybe after you graduate from high school you will continue to play professionally, the best in life to every one of you, YOU ARE ALL GREAT MUSICIANS.

"Mr. Hiramatsu" who established this band seems to had wanted to establish a marching band which has never existed.
He can see him in the Rose Parade in 2018. He is a gray old man who marches near the student of Kyoto Tachibana.

Actually, high schools are becoming more innovative with their marching shows and play a wide variety of music. Its not all the same. Alot of high schools get shows written for them to compete with each year with different music and different themes like for example my high school had the themes of the rock band muse, and another year we had a sleeping beauty themed show. Of course other schools might've had better themes and way more interesting shows, but i guarantee you its not all the same. Something alot of schools are starting to imitate is drum corps. I do suggest you check out Blue Coats 2014-16 as well as 2014-15 Blue Devils, 2013-18 Carolina Crown, Cavaliers have also had really good shows these past few years. Now i can agree schools do look angry but its something the students really enjoy. Just because they look angry doesnt mean they hate it or anything. Alot of the students are actually some of the funnest people around. Also we don't walk. We march. I hope this doesn't come across as rude, and i agree that they're great musicians.
@@josemenchaca6933 what hes trying to say is that This marching band is one of the most enjoyable marching bands to actually watch and listen to during standstill shows or watching them through parades , they put in much more work than more than half of all the marching bands out there in the states , field shows are different stories

ローズパレードの成功から続く生徒達の自信が感じられますね。京都橘はこれまでのマーチングの枠にとらわれず進化して欲しいと思います。演奏は年々向上していますが、CG隊が他のバンドではみることができないすばらしい出来です。これからも応援します。右腕のJALロゴが無くなっていて残念でしたが、2019年は北米東海岸にも進出して欲しいと願っています。

Although some members standout, there are no weaknesses in this band. I bet they are equally amazing in their academics as well. I would love to see them reunite and perform for many years to come!

@@Bogie6588 The band has about 40 members and since they are either full time college students or working adults, about 20 to 25 participate each time there is a performance. The two video links below were from one of their performances last year and you should be able to recognize many of the members that were in this 2018 video including the Drum Major, two of the color guards, the sax soloist in the song September, etc. plus others. They just had another big performance last week but no videos are available on YT yet. They have a big fan base since they were graduates of Tachibana SHS.
