hey! I made the confusing tiktok: The original sound was a meme at the time that implied the person watching the tiktok had "snuck up" on the person making it. The original meme was like "Oh finally, all the pretty women are gone... *looks at camera* or so I thought!" Sorry, not my best work, and unless you were like, seeing a million videos with the same format on your fyp it's confusing!!! Sorry!!!
I just today went to school in lolita dress, and I life in Russia, so there can be pretty much bad words (sorry, I'm sleepy and dunno how to say that normally), but all I heard was compliments from teachers and my friend and I'm just still like ó///w///ó I just wanted to share with this thing with somebody in lolita community
hi, I'm half russian, i haven't worn lolita in russia yet because only go there for 1 month and fear of my jsk getting damaged, but I dont know about how people would react, if i dressed in a sailor style lolita then I think I'd be heavily praised as its very traditional, I dont know the name of this cafe but there was a pancake house with a massive spoon on it and it closed down!! am be the only one who is very sad by this
I used to wear lolita to work (I'm a barista) but I had too many creepy old men commenting on my "purity" "innocence" and "doll" like appearance. I even had a customer ask me to take a spin for them. Ugh.
Hey Lor, I've been wearing lolita to work since quarantine started. Funnily enough both my bosses and coworkers all accepted it really easy and were always intrigued what I'd wear the next day. Our customers returned in May/June (I work in a community center, mostly for the elderly) and they all loved it as well. (I get compliments every day :3) Now if only my family and friends would have the same enthusiasm as my coworkers and customers ^^;
Fashion is art. Our bodies are the canvas, and clothes, jewelry, makeup, wigs, shoes, and purses are the art mediums. I imagine seeing a Lolita every day is like having a fashion editorial page or a painting in an art gallery show up for work each day. We need our art, no matter the form, like we need air, food and water.
I wear Decora every time I leave the house. Customers love it, and I’ve only ever gotten compliments. In both small towns and big cities, people tend to be quite nice! It reinforces my faith in humanity and shows that many people are more likely to go out of their way to be kind than go out of their way to be cruel.
As someone who’s a huge Melanie fan, we don’t say she wears Lolita and neither does she, she wears a lot of vintage clothes that are usually pastel but not Lolita style.
Yea, but anytime a video of a lolita goes viral, there’s thousands of comments talking about melanie. There’s nothing wrong with liking her, but fans tend to credit any kawaii subculture to her.
I teach at a learning facility for homeschooled kids and I started wearing lolita there and the response was super positive! I teach mostly middle and high school and they paid a lot more attention to me after I was interesting to look at 😂
I already love your content but I just want to say I absolutely love when sponsor spots are fun little skits. It actually makes me look forward to seeing them. I know it has to be a lot more effort than a dry ad read but it legit makes it enjoyable (doubly so since you're gettin' that money). Also re: wearing lolita to work, back before WFH, I wore lolita once or twice a week to work. But my wardrobe is mostly classical and I'd pair it with simpler chiffon blouses/accessories rather than frothing over with frills. When I was a librarian people just thought it was fun and quirky and now that I'm in the tech sector the biggest issue is how loudly the petticoat swishes in quiet hallways haha. I started wearing lolita to work more once I left librarianship partly because there was a lot less risk of getting something gross on it since I don't work with the public any more haha. I ain't about to let a kid blow their nose on my brand.
For the Tik Tok that said finally all the ones are gone, it is saying like the people who want to try J Fashion are not watching anymore but you are still watching and she is saying you would look good in J Fashion.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INCLUDING ME IN YOUR VIDEO I'm literally watching your video with the biggest smile on my face. You're such a huge inspiration to me and I'm so honored to be included

as soon as I was falling in love with that dress and wondering where I could get it, she started talking about devil inspired! that website is so helpful considering I'm new to lolita and have troubles making cords!
God the YouTune copyright system... But yes - I do wear lolita to work. pretty much all the time. I'm a social media editor/translator for an anime shop. All my colleagues seem to enjoy my style and customers do too when I actually worl at the shop.
i like melanie martinez’ music but she is NOT a lolita!! i mean obviously WE know that but a weird amount of people who don’t know a lot about the fashion lump her style in with lolita or story to explain to people who are weirded out by it (an experience i know a lot of us can relate to) by saying “oh it’s lolita, is see this is a thing it’s not weird” but that only spreads misinformation. her style is definitely very cute and she shows a general interest in kawaii and j-fashion but she definitely has her own style that is also influenced by vintage fashion. ultimately the people who say this are just trying to deal with the same types of people anyone into kawaii fashion in general has to deal with, but they just don’t know how to go about it. it’s definitely not her fault, and i don’t think most of the fans do this.
Hey lor! I would absolutely love if you could do a video on the Style Savvy games, they feature lolita fashion and that's how I personally discovered the fashion ~

Other people were also dressing up nicely and these are my nicest clothes, lol. Little kids said I look like a princess and few coworkers complimented it. Only internet haters had something bad to say about it :D
Lot that Japanese trend at 16:35ish is actually saying “Gomennasai-do step!” (Like gomenasai and side step, the dance move) it confused me for SO LONG but it’s not about actually apologizing it’s just about the pun with a little dancey dance

I am totally not lolita, but I have worn more alternative outfits and some lolita inspired styles when I still worked at a shop that was a BJD store. I always loved being able to just wear what I want. The owners were altos themselves so I never got weird looks from them
12:31 PAXXEON!! I LOVE HIM!!! That's the cosplayer I was talking about in an earlier comment! I found him via the Arcana Cosplay tag and I love him so much
im really glad to discover devil inspired because i just got a job and i also figured out what style i want to make my first coord! first paycheck is gonna uhhhh be really gone really fast lmao
I love your videos! They've inspired me to design a few lolita-esque pieces. I'm justvtrying to find the best places to get the fabrics and pieces i need to construct them. Then find a model who isn't an old blob like me to make them beautiful! 🥰
lor!!!! the tiktok was saying like "finally! all the people who want to try j-fashion are gone" and then they stare at the camera its like an "oh wait.... ur still here" aha kind of moment!!!!!! i hope that makes sense :DDDD (it has nothing 2 do with relaxing lol)

I found him via the Arcana Cosplay tag and I love him so much
Love your coord! Another great video :)
im really glad to discover devil inspired because i just got a job and i also figured out what style i want to make my first coord! first paycheck is gonna uhhhh be really gone really fast lmao
I wish there were more Lolitas that support Melanie Martinez :/
I am so excited for this video
I'll shop devilinspired when they start having things in my size lol. Granted some of their stuff looks good, but I've been wary of them for a while.
Devilinspired has a custom-size-section
I love your videos! They've inspired me to design a few lolita-esque pieces. I'm justvtrying to find the best places to get the fabrics and pieces i need to construct them. Then find a model who isn't an old blob like me to make them beautiful! 🥰
omg your dress is so cute!!!!!!!
lor!!!! the tiktok was saying like "finally! all the people who want to try j-fashion are gone" and then they stare at the camera its like an "oh wait.... ur still here" aha kind of moment!!!!!! i hope that makes sense :DDDD (it has nothing 2 do with relaxing lol)
