Finding out how high my horses can free jump

- The horses didn't really max out at a particular height - just wanted them to keep their confidence while jumping so left it where they seemed slightly less comfortable jumping the height! (except for Dex, I just didn't want to put the jump up higher when he seemed a little tired and it would look super scary when the pole was at the top of the wings!) Pinot is still new to jumping and he's quite tight in the hind end so he didn't seem super flexible over fences on this day.

Dexter is an actual mood. Like the anxiety horse realizes his insane talent and his face was just like, oh that. Yup.

a horse at my old barn would jump out of his turnout pen MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY😂 when he got out he would just walk around for a little bit until someone noticed

We have a morgan (not a jumping horse at all) who jumps the fence into the neighbor's cow pasture and will hang out with all of the cows until we go get her

Katie McIntrye I think it’s just confidence really! The other boys obviously have a lot more experience jumping so they know what to do a lot more! 😊 haha yes they are! I love quirky horses!

You can just tell that the second one LOVES jumping ❤️😍
When Dexter was facing you he was showing you respect. Instead of walking towards him when he does that, I suggest walking backwards. That way you give him release (and release is a way you let your horse know he’s doing a good job) and you create a draw teaching him to walk to you. If you keep doing that you’ll be able to get him to calmly walk behind you without needing a halter.

Are the logs surely placed correctly? It seems to me that in the first half of the video they deconcentrate the horses and cause them to fail some jumps, as the logs are placed right were they would land their front legs after the jump.
The poles were placed a canter stride before/after the jump but alot of the time her horses were really stretching out but under saddle they would of been better
So entertaining well done she/he can jump high!!
