I am surprised that the lounge is open to the busy lobby downstairs which means a noisy environment. I have been through the airport - very large with lots of places to eat.
Hi Jerry! Many lounges at HKG are open like this, and sure, it gives some more noise but I still prefer this lounge over some of the more secluded ones like fx Singapores Silver Kris lounge. Cardholders with Amex Centurion have a separate part of the lounge with A la Carte options.
