- Iowa's nickname is "The Hawkeye State" in honor of Chief Black Hawk. He was the first Native American to write his autobiography before passing away in Iowa in 1838. Iowa is known for its rich farmland, as well as its growing sectors of manufacturing and finance.
Our series of US geography videos "Visit the 50 States," gives you a little history and interesting facts about each state. For every state, you'll learn when it entered the Union, what's its motto, how did it get its nickname, and see what the flag, seal, and state capitol building all look like. Been to a majority of states, but never Iowa. Would love to see it someday!
*Iowa* is awesome, it rankes high in good catagorys such as Education, Health insurance, land, marriage, and cable, And rankes low in bad catagorys such as alcohol, tabacco, guns, and cannabis. I want to live in *Iowa* when I'm older (if it doesn't because a crap state when I am older) and it is close to *Indiana*, so I can visit my family without having to drive to far... Just have to drive through *Illinois*

Golden Dome just got new gold leaf put on not too long ago. The gold is as thin as tissue paper so it needs to be replaced every so often.

You can drive through Iowa and see corn for miles and miles!!! Sad thing is you can't eat any of it, it's all livestock feed. . .
True you wouldn't want to eat it but it's not grown for livestock, It's grown for its starch and oil contents and places like Cargill and ADM process the corn into useful products that are used into our food. Examples are starches in our sports drinks, syrup for that nestle buys for their candies, and vegetable oils we use to cook our food, etc. Only the unused and least valuable parts of the corn kernel are marketed and sold as animal feed.
