So glad to hear the Boos are back. Too bad Martin couldn't be a part of it because he was a huge part of what I loved about the band. I was just randomly looking on RUclips for info about the band and come to find out they have reunited after over 20 years. First Blur reunites, then Supergrass, and now the Boo Radleys. As an American Anglophile, it makes me very happy when my favorite 90s bands get it back together. The britpop era will always hold a special place in my heart. Wake up Boo was my alarm on a cassette alarm clock back in the day so they got me going on a daily basis.

I don’t get Martin. He’s a musical genius, a lyrical genius, a master of the electric guitar who reached the top with the Boos and then….Boom! disbands the group. His solo work is extraordinary but he had no name recognition as Brave Captain. Get back with the Boos! Your songwriting and playing, their rhythm section and Sice’s voice. It would be unstoppable.

Great to see them back! Huge fan of theirs ever since I first picked up Everything's Alright Forever in 1992 - but c'mon!....you could have had a less overfamiliar song used for the background music instead of THAT overplayed tune for a start. I mean....so many amazing songs to choose from, like Lazarus, Does This Hurt, Lazy Day, Kingsize, Ride The Tiger, etc....

Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Can understand to a dedicated fan like yourself ‘that’ song might be overplayed but to some of us more casual fans it was our gateway drug into the wonderful world of the Boos. SoundON is all about people maybe finding a new artist they enjoy (would love to know if you enjoy any other videos on our channel) while hopefully still providing something of interest to dedicated fans of an artist like yourself, eg really interesting thoughts on their new album as well in this chat?

I agree, would have been great to mix it up a bit with the live clip selections - they always struggled to play THAT SONG live, even back in the day! And it would be nice to get a taste of what they are playing beyond the inevitable encore. Any of the pre Giant Steps stuff? What tracks from Giant Steps? etc.

Don't write it off out of hand. Check out what they come up with and make up your mind. No one would dispute the role he played in their original run. The other guys are talented in their own right and have no doubt lived and learned a great deal in those 20 plus years. Listen to the new album with the intention to like it and you may be pleasantly surprised. Cheers.

@@catsofsherman1316 They have every right to make music together but if everyone is not there (and especially the main composer) Change the name of the band ! They were afraid of not selling certainly... I don't find that very honest, sorry. The bands of the time like Ride or Slowdive which reformed did so with all their members. Who would have accepted the Smiths without Johnny Marr? Not me sorry... It's not a detail whatever they produce together...

@@denisbellin1114 I think the band may have asked him and he refused, although he claims otherwise. Personally, I think 3 out of 4 ain't bad for a reunion, although it must be weird for them when (I assume) at least 3/4 of their current set was written by Carr.
