Ok I only speak for myself on this one and it’s a matter of my own opinion, just like you will have yours. But this is why I want the rock vs Roman. Back in 2000, i was only young and my older brother introduced me to wrestling. The first segment I ever saw was one involving the rock. I was instantly gripped, and have been a wrestling fan ever since. he was my favourite at the time, in 2003 he left So I only saw 3 years worth of the rock as a wrestler. Now fast forward 2 decades , the rock is still regarded by many as one of the greatest of all time. Has the opportunity to return for what will probably be the last match ever, then if I get to see The Rock wrestle one more match, and this is the only time I’ll see it, then I’m taking it. Cody can finish his story anytime, he has his whole career ahead of him, but The Rock wrestling one last time, for people like me is what I’d like to see more.

Cody beats him at Mania and then a few weeks before Summerslam The Rock returns to challenge Roman Reigns at Summerslam. Cody finishes his story, we still get Roman v Rock & without the title that match has more unpredictability. Then for Punk v Seth. The reason it's on purpose is because they already set the precedent. Precedent of actually subverting expectations like last WrestleMania when everybody "knew" the result. Has The Rock ever faced Rollins before in a one on one match? Now, I get that Roman vs Rock is a much bigger match and a way bigger deal since Rock and Roman are both megastars as well as real life family members. However, isn’t Rock vs Rollins still a dream match even though it’s a much smaller scale dream match? I believe it is, so why can’t WWE just have Cody finish the story and fight Reigns at WrestleMania and then have Rock face Rollins at Mania since Punk is injured and can no longer face Rollins and Mania. This is what I've been saying too. All this for a match that'll be mediocre at best and have minimal buildup because both guys are part timers.
Ok I only speak for myself on this one and it’s a matter of my own opinion, just like you will have yours. But this is why I want the rock vs Roman.
Back in 2000, i was only young and my older brother introduced me to wrestling. The first segment I ever saw was one involving the rock. I was instantly gripped, and have been a wrestling fan ever since. he was my favourite at the time, in 2003 he left So I only saw 3 years worth of the rock as a wrestler. Now fast forward 2 decades , the rock is still regarded by many as one of the greatest of all time. Has the opportunity to return for what will probably be the last match ever, then if I get to see The Rock wrestle one more match, and this is the only time I’ll see it, then I’m taking it. Cody can finish his story anytime, he has his whole career ahead of him, but The Rock wrestling one last time, for people like me is what I’d like to see more.

This is a complete batshit insane theory but here goes:
- CM Punk's injury is a work (I just don't see WWE booking a promo segment where Drew attacks Punk's legitimately injured arm.)
- CM Punk returns to confront The Rock on the road to Wrestlemania regarding their history.
- Seth ends up defending against Drew instead (Still working on a reason why Seth would even accept another rematch after already beating Drew before.)
- Cody goes on to face Roman Reigns for his story.

Now, I get that Roman vs Rock is a much bigger match and a way bigger deal since Rock and Roman are both megastars as well as real life family members. However, isn’t Rock vs Rollins still a dream match even though it’s a much smaller scale dream match? I believe it is, so why can’t WWE just have Cody finish the story and fight Reigns at WrestleMania and then have Rock face Rollins at Mania since Punk is injured and can no longer face Rollins and Mania. Rock vs Rollins is still a big match, and Rock is a big enough star to replace Punk this year. So, I think Cody should fight Reigns and Rock should fight Rollins.
