    Absolutely, looking forward to it.
I heard a story that Syd was playing in the studio and the producer said that he thought they needed to change the guitar playing, Syd listened and they recorded the second track, and played exactly the same as before. For him to have such a control of his feedback, showed a real Fretmaster.

Find everything you ever could on Ted Lucas!! He is no doubt another underrated musician from the 60’s!!

Outstanding presentation my friend. Such a sad story, but at the same time I marvel at Syds bravery, as I think he did get sick of the trappings of the business which would only stifle his creativity.
    Thank you, very well done

@@TheGuitarHistorian wow, that explains why at the end I couldn't leave my comment. I searched again for the post and on that I was able to leave my comment. Odd...and a shame it was taken down. Very upset to hear that.

Regarding fretmasters...consider Harvey Mandel. Listen to the LP "Twist City". Incredible stuff...honest!

I agree he would be an interesting choice. His playing was an important part of a sound widely heard during the 1980’s.

The Original lead guitar player for the Pretenders. Their original lineup had serious substance abuse issues unfortunately and cocaine stopped his heart soon after their second album was released ,before the breakout hit Middle of the Road.As a young man drugs have such appeal. They were the answer to all my problems and I spent a lifetime under the crippling influence of Heroin and Cocaine Somehow I survived hence the name in my profile but no one that shared that journey did and I was abandoned as dead in many abandoned buildings by my colleagues in addiction. If you are on that path Please make your last shot be your last shot before it is truly your last shot.Dont let Drugs end you as it has done to so many of our guitar heroes. My musicianship soared to previously unheard heights when I quit drugs and alcohol. Addiction doesn't make one a better musician or a better person during use.I have never heard anyone in addiction say" Wow this was a great choice "

Syd has been done to death as an Icon but I’m looking forward to your video b/c it will focus on him as a guitarist.
While I would never intrude upon your privacy beyond what you choose to disclose it is clear your family is addressing certain challenges. Have you considered giving us an opportunity to help by underwriting requests? For example, there are subscribers who might donate $100, let’s make it $125 to deal with RUclips wetting it’s beak, in return for your tackling a certain guitarist or bass player. The truth is I enjoy your insights & $125 to watch/listen to your analysis of, e.g., Ollie Halsall or John Cipollina, has substantial appeal to a subscriber like myself.

Thank you so much Skip. We are dealing with some things but at the same time trying to make each day count.
As the channel grows I have been thinking about different options like a Patreon or doing a tip jar but my personality usually thinks of that stuff as “money grubbing.” However as I see a future in this channel to eventually leading to a living I will need to be more pragmatic about playing the game.
At this point, RUclips is still a side job and time is still an issue. That’s why I can’t push out the amount of videos that other creators may be able to. However I write down every single person that is suggested and the beautiful thing is that this list will keep the channel going forever. For now, I’m still following my muse and doing videos based on what excites me at the time. I’d rather stay away from the “for hire” type stuff for now, but like I said… as this thing continues to grow there will be limitless opportunities to explore everyone. Thank you for the kind words and your subscription AND how active you are in the comments. It means a lot. Truly.

@@TheGuitarHistorian Of course we all defer to your judgment as the creator of this channel. But also keep in mind how much those of us who are not musicians truly enjoy your insights on guitarists. To me your opinions have value, and your time in researching background and ultimately setting out your opinions have value. I want to hear you talk about, e.g., Ollie Halsall b/c I know you will provide me with a level of insight beyond what I’m capable of as a non-musician. Why deprive me of the ability to express my gratitude & respect for your work?
Many thanks & keep up the great work
